Thats is an investigation mate, which they will notify you of, I have been told by various accounts and someone who used to work their that it involves making sure you are who you say you are, the bank account in question is yours if your requested it to go to your bank, etc. To basically prove your you and the money is going to the right place, the reason for me being pulled up is the fact last August I changed banks. These questions a lot of you are asking about have already been answered further back through this thread guys and girls, hope this helps tho.

Apparently system was been updated upto 20th of this month so thats why people are waiting . Are they making this up as they go along as the dates change all the time.

Have to take what HMRC say with a pinch of salt. They get so many calls they just want you off the phone to deal with someone else, sometimes they don't even know the problem.

I called hmrc on the 24th and they told me it had been processed on the 23rd. Then when I asked how long that will take to hit my bank she said "could be a few days, could be a few weeks" when I asked why it would be delayed she couldn't tell me. It's driving me mental as I'm signing in more than once a day! Seems they don't have a clue there self. If it helps I applied for my return on the 16th and requested on the same day. I think it's terrible they have this problem every year and do nothing to let anyone know. How hard is it to post a notification on there website to let people know what's happening and save a lot of phone calls from a lot of angry people?! Just got my NI letter through, thinking of sending it back saying "bank repayment pending" I'm sure that won't go down to well. Eye for an eye and all that!! :money:

I just got a email saying a electronic payment will be made shortly, take.it the security checks they said about and to call on 18ths a load of crap.. Good luck guys

Done mine on 7th request on the 8th
Called last week,told I had wait till 18th of may.. Updated today with today's date as payment day. Then the email.. So looks.like maybe only a few days to wait?!?

After being issued it usually clears the third day, ie. Issued Monday, update Tuesday, payment Wednesday.

Maybe I should just give them another call then? I submitted mine on the 6th and been pending since the 7th

Mines gone in my bank as soon as I got the email saying electronic payment has been made. Mine was pending until today then went for date of bank payment. Good luck guys all the best.
