HMRC Repayment Pending

I just received a message from.hmrc, it's said my claim was processed on the 24th of April and should be with me within 3 weeks should it not be subject to further security.. And something about. It making any payments as may delay it further more..... Soooooo does this mean it's on route?!

I have received the same reply a week ago when I sent them a message. Only they said my repayment was processed on the 9th (the day when it went to pending).

That is a standard message they send.

Mine went into pending on the 8th or 9th I think

So If you requested your repayment up until 12-13 and still didn't received it means you are under the extra security checks.

From what I noticed these checks occur when something has changed : name, address, bank account...

So it means that they are checking that you are who you say you are and that the money goes in the right bank account.

This is a good thing but they could save a lot of time just by asking you to go to an HMRC office and identify yourself.

Also from experience I can tell you that it doesn't take up until the last day to finish these check it is usually about 2 weeks extra so about 14 days since the date you should have received.

I have also filed my return online on the 6th and been pending since the 7th I'm gettin in to more debt now bills are due a week ago n waiting on a job to start means this is my only income for the next few weeks at least. Amazing how fast they are to react when the gloves on the other hand...

I'm sick to death of looking at pending..... If I dont c issued by wed I'm gonna loose the plot... Submitted on the 6th, what a Liberty !!!!!!!

I could use the money as well unfortunately there is absolutely nothing we can do.

Even calling them every day it won't change anything.

There is a different team dealing with this checks and when you are calling the operator just reads the status and gives you a general information.

You have to just wait until they finish and if you are you then it won't be any problems.

I disagree with this waiting times but 3 years ago I was due a refund of 1008£. Some error in their system complicated the things and got paid on 23 December after filling on 6th of April.
And I had to call them about 20 times and go in person to one HMRC office. So that is a nightmare this is still bearable.

That's awful! I do recall that year was our first experience and we didn't receive the rebate until late August, I hope that this year will not be a repeat of that!

I think we are the only original two left, obviously more how but yeah I'm in the same Sammy, I originally got told to ring back by the 8th May if its not in their by then but anything could happen really couldn't it? I did however change banks last summer a few months after I got my last rebate, thus could have triggered it maybe? I don't think I could keep calm and patiently wait till December!!! I'll be contacting every MP going with any other ideas that come to pass, roll on Tuesday

Definitely the change of bank account has triggered it.
Also don't get me wrong I do not say it is going to take until December but sometimes when everything goes wrong it can.

Now we should receive it this week or worst case the following week .

I will give them another call by Friday if I don't receive it just to check if everything is ok.
