HMRC Repayment Pending

hi I sent my tax return off online on the 12th of April it's still saying repayment pending so called and they said it is getting security checked and will be finished by the 20th of May and it takes 3 weeks to receive the money after that is that correct? I called the direct number and got straight through

Just checked my bank - no payment in yet! HMRC still showing 18th May so hopefully will be credited tonight.

Paid in overnight and in my account! Amazingly quick - tax return submitted on line 11th May - repayment of overpaid tax 18th May.

Finally issued!! Submitted 15 April. Maybe there not completely useless. something is going on behind the scenes. Good luck

Next year Im going to wait till May again after the rush has happened as I reckon the system gets overloaded with returns in those first couple of weeks

Still waiting for original payment from 8th April not sure what's going on with it now! Anyone else still waiting from early April as its gone very quiet and I'm beginning to think there's just me left waiting! I've had an amendment paid from last year and an amendment from this year paid but still waiting for my original payment don't understand why those two payments have been made!

I gave them a ring, 30mins on hold........turns out my story is the classic that's it's been referred to the repayment security team and I should hear back on the 1st June and if not I've to call back. Mind you she couldn't tell me why it had been referred......

so... after having officially given up and deciding to wait the long game we had a message today saying that it's on it's way to the bank! Good luck everyone there is light at the end of the incredibly long tunnel!

Been told mine has been sent to enquiry centre at Swindon! Anyone know what this means?
