Hi all
Chilling in front of the telly now. Had a sneaky takeaway for tea after dropping DS off at a party. Wont see him until tomorrow.
I was sorting some clean laundry earlier and DS came in looking for his favourite t-shirt for the party. Oh do you want to take something to sleep in I ask. Nah I'll sleep in my t-shirt and boxers. OK well you will want a clean t-shirt for tomorrow then. Yes, Mum. Erm and I suppose its stupid to ask if you are going to take a toothbrush and maybe something to wash with is it? Well that just earned me one of those looks that says you are ancient and havent a clue.

Evening!
Nice peaceful day here. My dad visited for a while but other than that we've played out, had a garden picnic and I've sorted both kiddies wardrobes :T there is still more to go in as I have a bit of ironing to finish, plus I'm sure MIL squeezed some of their holiday bits in her case, so they will come back on Monday. But even so, I'm pleased with the huge pile of stuff on the landing that can exit the building!
Didn't quite have the inclination to start mine. Next week, perhaps.
But I've had a little tidy tonight, gammon was defrosted so that's soaking and I'll pop it in SC first thing. We're having a little trip out tomorrow so we can have gammon for tea.
I've also put away the cosmetics etc that I'd unpacked and left on my bathroom windowsill. So I'm getting there.
Outside we potted up DDs sunflowers and found an old obelisk they can grow up. Also watered bedding plants and spuds, and noticed the clematis I cut right back have sprouted again. Also did a bit of sweeping. I have ordered a pressure washer - too much paving at the back to be cleaning without a little motorised help
Still no further on in finding someone to sort the front for me though...Bossymoo

You've all sounded very busy. With the extra time on Thursday owing to cancelled student, I got a lot more done and was pretty happy with the house/cake/meal plan/garden by the time I picked up my mum.
Did a bit of flying all 3 of us yesterday as Mr N was off; he mowed lawn while mum & I watered greenhouse/removed pesky snails/moved stuff into sun. Wind got chilly so I sorted various bits while mum ran vacuum round hall. Then we went for a nice drive round pretty Essex villages and had a lovely pub lunch.
This morning I picked flowers for table centrepiece, got garden table clean and poised in lounge (can't get 7 round our dining room table if we need to move our arms to eat!) and checked everything needed was out of freezer. Put beef in slow cooker and headed off to London to meet mum's old college friend and her daughter. Coffee & cake at Covent Garden then saw the Carole King musical which was absolutely brilliant, we all loved it. Came home and the beef was just right.
Mr N cleared up dinner stuff while I prepared veg for tomorrow and arranged the flowers. Think all that is left food prep-wise for tomorrow is making the stuffing, I've already cleaned some baby leeks from the garden. We'll have time for a quick final room sort before family start arriving about 11.30. Fingers crossed the weather isn't too bad so we can at least wander round the garden even if it isn't warm enough to sit out.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend. Hope you feel a bit brighter Dusty and glad Lynne's leg is improving.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Busy day with lots of bits done. Sorted through my drawers in the bedroom and my black sack is now full so will take that to clothing bank next week. Also spent nearly an hour untangling a mass of about 10 necklaces. Some cheapy ones mixed in with gold and silver but finally untangled them all! Also did the cupboard under the stairs and the shoe/ coat cupboard. Under the stairs I retrieved some excess food and brought them into the kitchen to be used up so there is no food or cat food in there now. I'm trying to cut down on the shopping until we move as we have so much food in the house. Just want to buy the essentials. I am going to do a meal plan for this week based on what's in the freezer/cupboards.
I have decluttered some shoes and put my winter coat in my warderobe as I hopefully won't need it. Also, paired up all the gloves. Why do my kids have so many, yet when we need them we can never find any! Have also washed all the hats, gloves and scarves to pack away along with the draught excluder! I think I have done 5 loads of washing today!
Tomorrow I aim to ...
Go to a fairly local country park with the kids
Visit some family at the pub
Do ds1s homework with him
Write a meal plan
Do the weekly shop!
S and s the toilets!
Tidy up study.
Pack another two boxes in the garage.
Get all the lego boxes down from the loft
Mop hall

Morning All
Well I sorted mounds of paperwork yesterday and I still have some Scouting stuff to put away. Back to work tomorrow and I haven't even looked at my work stuff. I've got so much I want to do - I haven't got time to go to work!
Anyway, we chose the paper for the feature wall in the LR yesterday and DH put the lining paper on. He's now got up and is putting the proper paper on then there will just be the rest of the room to do.
I've got a big bug on the curtains I've just noticed, I don't know where that's come from!
First job for me is to take the dog out as DH is papering and then will be taking DS to his football match. I might get out of bed in a minute!
Have a good day all
