I've done loads of filing and sorting out of paperwork this morning. We're going out shortly to look for wallpaper but it doesn't look like that's going to get done this weekend as DS has got a football match in the morning.

Hello everyone. Hope you're all ok.

Thanks to Ionafan and Frodders for a great meet yesterday.

Today I have sorted out paperwork, made a cooked breakfast and washed up, walked the dogs, been to HB for some basics. Just having a cuppa and I need to finish putting the shopping away before tackling garden jobs.

    Lovely day here.

Did pretty much nothing Fly-related yesterday. :o Today I'm going to have a go at sorting out the bedroom:
    • clear the junk off the chest of drawers
    • sort out the shoe pile into three sections - keep, send to charity shop, throw away
    • pick up and throw away all the bits that have slid down the back of the bedside table / bed
    • run the duster round

In tandem with non-Fly related 'tasks' like catching up with the comps board, working on my virtual farm, watching some snooker and then the F1 quali session later. (Another F1 fan here, Elasticmoney!)
Back after a very long break!

    Hi all

Pottering gently here. I have paperwork to do for OHs business but its the last thing I want to do!

Now that I am no longer working from home I am toying with the idea of revamping our little office, maybe getting rid of one of the desks and putting a sofa-bed in there for visitors. OH would rather use the space for some built in cupboards but I think the more storage we have the more "stuff" we will keep. Our office always looks like a disaster zone, dont really know why. Next door have made theirs into a really pretty little sitting room as they just have a laptop and dont need a work area.

Anyway, rambling on isnt getting anything done! The washing needs hanging out, the dog needs walking and there are dozens of other things to do.

Ooh and I hope the sun is shining for other flyladies, its beautiful here, but a bit chilly.

Having a breather so thought I would do an update.
Today we have done a family run with ds1 on his bike and ds2 in the running buggy. It was the first time we had done this and we have agreed we need to do it more often! Ds1 is not very confident on his bike. He learnt to ride in August 2013, got a new bike for Christmas and is still very wobbly and not very good with lamp posts and roads! We sometimes drive him to a local outdoor space but as we live on a hill he has a real fear of biking from home! Anyway, he did almost three miles on a well thought out route that tried to avoid slopes and roads and it was really lovely. We are going to do it every weekend to get his confidence up. He's 6 and a half. We were all rewarded with ice lollies in the garden! Yum! We have Also walked up to the local shopping centre to get weighed!! Hubby's idea! I knew I had put on weight because my work trousers are becoming uncomfortably tight! But only 1lb since my last weigh in- I was shocked but still a stone heavier than my lightest! It's creeping on very slowly. I do run but I do love my food and chocolate. I'm not in a place to start actively losing it (far too much food and chocolate in the house) but I am going to be more mindful. Stop after two biscuits and not polish off half a packet!

Anyway, I'm rambling! Flying wise, I've been flitting around doing 'bits'. Mainly sorting like getting rid of summer hats that no longer fit and seeing which winter ones can go or be put away for next year. Half tidies the utility room so nearly done with that!

    Here is my list...

    S and s the toilets!
    Tidy up utility room.
    Tidy up study.
Pack another two boxes in the garage.
Get all the lego boxes down from the loft
    Vacuum/mop Hall

Funky Friday - Brats rooms, spare rooms or wherever!
    Vacuum floor
    Deweb, dust and destickify

Frizzle that sounds like fun. My 14yo didnt learn to ride a bike until he was 6 and took ages to be really confident. Even now he isnt keen on riding his bike, in fact I cant remember the last time it was out of the shed! The 16yo and I are planning a cycling/camping weekend sometime over the summer but I think we will be on our own.

I am achieving very little here, although I have walked the dog and put a load of washing out on the line. I started decluttering DSs wardrobe so I had better go and finish that.

I'm feeling really miffed. Two young kids in the house. I have been tidying and doing jobs. Poor kids have been sat in the living room, watching TV and playing while OH is playing in the bedroom on his play station on his own. I don't mind flying while he plays With the kids but I'm a little miffed that he has chosen to do that. Can't remember the last time I had two hours on my own in a different room from the kids!

Oh my I'm exhausted. I've just done my 2 hours paid gardening job after already doing over an hour in my own.

DS3's bedding all washed, he is away on a sleep over.
Ferns from my backgarden decluttered to a friend
Big food shops at Mr L and Mr M done

DS has jet washed the sun deck and the slate patio - looks lovely. He still has the bottom deck to do tomorrow and some paintwork to toucj up.

Elastic I really need to sort out my side shed, I will do that this week, you can't move in there for bags of kindling and potted up dahlias.

Just need to get the washing in, move some pots back onto the patio and tie the fence up, we need to get organised with booking in a new one but it will be £££ and I want the new carpet first I think.

  • Evening everyone.

Had a brill day but that's the last time I take notice of a car boot start time!! We waited until 7 am only to find that others had been queuing since 5.30 and we were at the back of the field!! In spite of that made the best amount ever so we now have some spends for our holiday. Cold easterly wind but very sunny when it wasn't hiding behind a cloud.

We caught up with the GP qualifying when we got home and are looking forward to the race tomorrow. As Lancastrians we were delighted when Jimmy Anderson overtook Sir Ian Botham's test wicket total last night.

Sounds like you have all had a great day - I'll have to catch up with you tomorrow as my legs ache from standing in one place for 6 hours!!!
