Holiday Destinations for Female Solo

Hi all,
I'm looking for some inspiration. I was wondering if people had some good suggestions for either weekend travel for a solo female. I have very recently done a Paris day trip and a week in Seoul. Now I would like some ideas for Europe.
I have been looking at 4-5 days in Poland (Krakow - Warsaw) but I've had some issues with the Polish ex so I am currently anti-Poland and it will just make me sad/mad being there. I will go but when I'm not so sore about it.
I'm looking for a short beach break (I've been looking at Split) on one occasion and a short city break on another. Ideally I'll go between May - July and 3/4 days each.
So does anyone have an advice/experience of solo travel in Europe to impart on me?

Was the week in Seoul by yourself? If so I can't imagine a weekend in Europe would hold any fears for you. So hopefully you'll get some recommendations on here and you can just pick whichever take your fancy.
I'm generally a solo traveller (but male), I'm more of a culture traveller than beach. I like most places in Spain, particularly Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga, France, Germany, Austria, Denmark - in fact, most places apart from Italy (probably an irrational dislike), Switzerland (nice scenery but expensive and sterile), and I was underwhelmed by Lisbon.0 -
Yes, it was by myself. Everything there was in English and the wifi abundant so I was never nervous there at all. I find Europe is not so forthcoming with wifi unless you're in a coffee shop.
I am not really a beach person (very pale) but a few quiet days by a beach or pool with possibly a little town to visit would be nice. I couldn't do a week long beach holiday. I've been to Barcelona twice but I've heard Malaga is nice?
Can't say I'm a massive fan of Italy either but it's the prices and people there that put me off - the country is beautiful. I have briefly looked at Sardinia. I also agree about Lisbon.0 -
I enjoyed Athens as a single female traveller a few years ago. Loads of culture and history stuff.0

It could be similar to my experiences in Italy. As a solo traveller you find a lot of interactions with locals are in restaurants, hotels and shops, and in my experience over several visits I found those people to be less friendly than in the other countries that I recommended. In particular, they seemed to have little consideration of or interest in people dining alone, not an issue I've had in other Mediterranean areas such as Spain, Crete, and the south of France. It has soured my view of Italy to the point that I'm not expecting to ever return for a holiday.0 -
Copenhagen is nice for a city break. I did a student exchange there for three months and found it very congenial for a single female. Feels quite safe etc. English widely spoken (just as well as no one else speaks Danish), people very nice.0

Irrelevant to the question I am posing and is my opinion of the people I have dealt with. I guess you've never ever made a generalisation on anything/anyone based on some bad experiences, which are pretty similar to the above, however not as a solo person.0 -

Where in Italy? Have been on many solo trips there particularly to Bologna without a problem. I also suggest Berlin.0
