Couture 1920's beaded flapper dress for £3 in perfect nick.

Based on initial enquiries it should pay for this years holiday to vietnam :j
Not bad considering I was getting miffed at only seeing tat and overpriced tut and was about to leave and go get breakfast.

Wow now that is a find and a half, do you have a picture? :)

Himself spotted a pewter mug he liked the look of, for a pound.
Out of curiosity, we looked up the maker on the net - still going & the tankard-in-its-presentation-box retails for over £100!
    Himself is hugely amused...

Wow nice find, congratulations to himself. Is he going to keep it? :)

Wow that's lovely, how much did it sell for if you don't mind me asking?

Also good morning to all carbooters, I hope you find some hidden treasure :D

Back from the carboot this morning, managed to buy a huge bundle of brand new hand puppets for my friend who teaches reception children, only paid £3.50. Also grabbed some dinosaur cookie cutters and colouring books for my nephew, just £1.50 paid. :)

Finally I managed to get the great british bake off book, how to avoid a soggy bottom, brand new condition for my mum who loves the show (and baking) for just £1. Will store it away for her birthday. :D

No huge bargains this week, but I bought things I was actually on the look out for, and things that will get a great deal of use. :)

Well yesterday was a bit of a washout, but today looks like a lovely day. Have fun at all the bank holiday car boots, and I hope you all find lots of bargains. :D

Well I did ok, am chuffed to pieces with my purchases. I was given a George Foreman Grill a while ago but the drip tray was missing and they are really expensive on ebay etc. Well I managed to find one for the princely sum of 10p at the boot fair! Not only that but I treated myself to a new cordless set of phones last week but they proved faulty .... so there was a fairly decent looking one at the boot fair and the seller assured me it was working. 2.00 pounds later and I had the perfect phone. Returned the other set which had cost 35.00 pounds. I am so very pleased with myself!! I love boot fairs - apart from the stuff, I love the whole atmosphere and am going to another one tomorrow. I don't really care that my family call me a cheapskate (think they are a bit amused/ashamed of me) ;).

Went to Chelford today, got loads of bargains. Was looking for clothes for my boys - got 2 carrier bags full of Next, Gap and M&S tops, trousers and pjs for £5.

We have a wedding coming up, got hubby a suit, tie and shirt which the seller had worn once for a wedding the previous year for £6.

I got myself the most beautiful Planet embroidered skirt and black Coast chiffon blouse to go with it for £5.

So we are kitted out for our wedding for just over a tenner.
