I'm sure i'm not the only one who loves rummaging around carboots for a bargain or 2, and I thought it would be nice to have a thread to share our best finds.
I went to my first carboot this year and managed to pick up these lovely and very heavy cast iron plant pot holders for just £5

Oww dear, I thought carboots were popular
Am I really the only one who visits them and finds a bargain? :starmod: Looking for the lucky dust :starmod:

I bought several cloth books for my granddaughter last year - before she was born. I just bunged them into the washing machine and they were as good as new. Some were as little as 10p each. I think the most expensive was 50p.0

Nothing recent but about 5-6 years ago i found a Challenge rotary tool - Argos's own brand dremel type thing. Still wrapped in it's plastic , asked the bloke how much he wanted for it and he said £7!!!
Bargain!
Only snag was I only had £6... but he still took it and let me have it! Used it loads of times for stupid little things, great little bit of kit. Way superior to the black and decker wizard that came with virtually no accessories.0 -

I managed to get a gorgeous pine drop leaf breakfast bar with 2 stools and drawers for £10 - best bargain ever! I still use it as our kitchen is too small for a dining table0

Wow great find, and bargain prices! I've seen some lovely baby things in great condition, I suppose it's because they use them for such a little amount of time.

Oww I do love a good bargain, and even better when the lovely stallholders don't mind knocking a little off to help others out. I bet your rotary tool paid for itself several times over at that price

I'd never heard of Newrock before, just googled and WOW those must have been some pretty stand out boots. I bet he thought he was dreaming when the seller told him the price

Oww carboots do seem great for furniture, I find them much cheaper and better quality than charity shops. £10 was a steal, and I bet it looks lovely in your kitchen.Horseygirl123 wrote: »I bought a brand new still in the box liquidiser for my Kenwood Chef. Cost £1.
Wow, that's a great bargain. I don't even need a liquidiser but it would have been rude to leave it behind for that price :rotfl::starmod: Looking for the lucky dust :starmod:
