Policy shop have offered to find an alternative insurer to cover the correct risk but I assume that would mean the cancellation would stay from Integra?......

Yes, you need to get the cancellation reversed.

Which you should be able to do if your side of the story is correct.
;68161326]Jeez. Just ran same quote through go compare with tick for cancelled policy. £1200 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

£1000 a year extra for, at worst a simple mistake :-(
For more motivation to get your complaint in, do a motor quote through go compare with the yes box ticked to say you have had an insurance policy cancelled!

What? Even if I have a home quote cancelled then it'll affect motor insurance too?

Like I said, I'm 99% sure I added it - I have done on every other quote I did. But I cant be 100%.

But like I said, surely a simple mistake like that its a bit much the repercussions.
Its scandalous that Im now being tarred as dishonest here.

Dont worry the complaint is going in. Especially annoyed that, due to a premises move it seems, it was impossible to get through to them on the phone today.
  • Just noticed the letter was sent recorded delivery and signed for on the 8th April. I was in Spain then - and there was no-one home.

Looks like my friendly postie has signed for it on my behalf. Helpful in normal circumstances but not in this case because it looks like I've been ignoring them for days.

You need to file a complaint with RM on this to create a paper trail.
Dont hang about, gps tracking data is only easily accessible for 7 days with RM.

OK. Why do I need GPS tracking data??

On the one hand I dont want to get postie in trouble because I know he only does it to be helpful but issues like this surely indicate that its not a clever thing to do.

I know if it was me I'd never dream of forging a customers signature no matter what.

You dont,it however helps to nail it to a particular postie/place.

Just proves someone signed for it on 8th April - doesn't prove it was you.
