Ok how do I check and know that the bag is really full to the max that is 4.5 litres?

Bag change indicator is programmed from the miele manufacturer to display bag change indicator less than 4.5 litres meaning more £££ for miele?

If the drop-off in performance doesn't tell you by itself, just pop the door open and take a look at the bag, you can soon tell if it's full or not.

Please read my post above, no. 21, this tells you how to use the indicator to tell you if the bag needs changing.

Please remember though it tells you when to change the bag, not if you perceive the bag to be full or not. Put it this way you could vacuum up lots of dogs hair, fill it completely and the bag change indicator shows its still fine to use. That is because the hair fibres let the air go past easily. But if you use the vacuum to suck up lots of brick dust then the bag will look fairly empty but will definitely need changing, this is because the tiny particles of brick dust clog the pores of the bag, therefore reducing performance and needing you to change the bag.

That's odd. I suggest using a fresh bag before doing anything else. Are the attachments definitely clicking on positively? Are there any burrs or projections in the fittings that could catch fluff?

The official supplied attachments does not look they are designed to be click in mechanism. Only the floor head, handles and hoses click in.

The 3 attachments just slide in.

There is a burr click in mechanism on the handle but don't know how fluff gets in there unless there is no seal meaning a radius gap when attaching the attachments.

    Any advice?

Just to repeat, best to clean out any fluff stuck in the fittings, change the bag and try it for a while. Report back after that.

I looked in the Miele manual and it states to check the status of the dust bag indicator to see whether its full or not is to put vacuum on highest power setting and lift the floorhead off the floor a little bit.

However it doesn't clarify on which kind of floor so is it wood floor or carpeted floor or any both?
