Er - Miele bags!
Don't buy anything else. If you have invested in the best cylinder cleaner then don't scrimp on the bags.
Put it another way , if you bought a Ferrari would you put budget tyres on it? Don't think so.

Lol I didn't realise the Miele bags were expensive before I bought the vacuum. I bought the miele vacuum on a deal so its not like I paid £300 for it.
I cant afford miele bags they are expensive unless someone can show me a deal on them?
If not which is a better brand for vacuum bags, Qualtex or First4spares?
Can anyone share their experiences?0 -
Had Miele vacuums for years but the bags are just a rip off and nothing particularly special. I don't know if I'm allowed to post direct links but if you go to a well known auction site and search for "Miele FJM Compatible HyClean" you should get a bunch of links to bags very similar to genuine ones but much cheaper. They are proper cloth bags, not paper ones, with good air flow and dust retention. You also tend to get a filter or two thrown in as well.0

Sorry to disagree but Miele spend an absolute fortune on R&D on their bags.
One of the main reasons why Miele are the best is that they have the very best micro dust retention rate and this is only achieved with their bags.
Not only that if you don't use genuine manufacturer bags then there is no warranty.
I'm also struggling to see how anyone could find the Miele bags uneconomical. On the Miele website £15 for 2 sets which should last anyone a year.0 -
How do miele know whether they used their bags for the warranty?
So the FJM bags are not good?0 -
I have used the Miele ones from their website- they are running a two boxes promo for price of one. I use the hoover every day (kids love play-doh at the moment!) and the last box lasted a year, so two boxes for £15 seems pretty good value.
I had a problem with my Miele hoover last year and one of the first things they asked was if I was using the proper bags. They were brilliant in fixing the problem by the way.0 -
Qualtex make thousands of copy parts for vacuum cleaners, the quality is generally pretty good.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Ok you hoover everyday and 1 box of 4 bags last you 1 year?0 -
I've used genuine Miele bags & copies, one thing I've noticed.
The copies perform just as well as the genuine bags when just changed but the performance drops off far sooner & more dramatically than the genuines.
So you end up replacing the copies more often which eats into the savings made buying them.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
With a miele cylinder, its the C3 a bag lasts us around three months, it is used almost daily and we do have a cat and a dog, animal hair can reduce the life of a bag. I did buy a copy as I hadn't been organised and ordered any from miele, they seemed okay after a week, at which time my light was showing a full bad, when I opened the compartment the dust had been leaving the bag and so I had to clean out the inside compartment, thats never happened before. I may have saved £2 on each bag but its a false economy when they only last a week. The filter that was supplied was also poor quality, they were qualtex.0
