Just checked the Leeds BS website - 1am Tuesday 14 April 2015 - It now appears they have withdrawn the 2.1% two year fixed term ISA on the basis of it being over-subscribed.
Well that didn't last long! It show that sometimes, you just have to get in quick.
The three year fixed term ISA at 2.2% is still currently available.
The 3 yr 2.2% FRISA has now also gone from the website. Presumably my postal application dated 7th will be honoured.0 -
It was honoured. Passbook received in post 18th Apr with letter dated 14th.0

My wife and I opened our Leeds ISA accounts online on the 8th April and posted off the printed (and signed) documents the next day, together with deposit cheques and transfer forms and we haven't heard anything yet. (20th April).
Leeds certainly haven't cashed either of our cheques. I assume they are dealing with the 'large' backlog, so wouldn't dream of contacting them yet as it is still early days for this time of year.
We wait and we wonder.0 -
From their website:Please note: If you are calling about the status of a new savings account, firstly please allow three working days for delivery of any savings application sent by post. Please be aware that applications can take 10 working days to process. The opening date for the account will be backdated to the date we received the application

In fact, I had jumped the gun in my last post. I have just this second, had an email from Leeds BS, confirming receipt of my ISA application and they have deposited the cheque (awaiting clearance).
On logging into the ISA account online, there is a note stating they are also awaiting the result of the transfer request form.
So the service and turnaround for this time of year is what was expected. I have no complaints and like I stated earlier, it was much too soon to contact them and chase it up. I would have left it another week or so.
Now I have to wait upto 15 days for the old ISA transfer, but I remember when that process used to take weeks and weeks. It appears to be a lot quicker these days (famous last words). (I can't decide which smiley to choose to end this post)0 -

Leeds BS are fully covered by FSCS, as you can see from their website. You usually have to be quick if you are after their good offer as they withdraw them very quickly due to high demand.
Yesterday I was surprised to see my account no longer appears online, though my name, address, etc still do. It seems, on phoning them today, that it will not now show online (which I didn't realise) even after the transfers. Instead I will get a passbook when there is something to show (when at least one of the transfers are through). I had not realised this (about it being passbook based). I was told today, if I needed to make a withdrawal, I could post the passbook, with a covering letter containing my signature, or even email a scan of my withdrawal request letter to them. Odd.0 -

Does it say "Operate through branch or post" in the terms?0 -

I have just seen there is a branch not that far away from me if necessary or urgent. It's just it seemed weird for it to appear online (them having provided a customer number and that I must have chosen a password) it appear only to have it disappear from online. Still never mind.

Probably what added to the confusion is, that on the online application, at the 'account opening complete' stage, it stated:2 YEAR FIXED RATE ISA (ISSUE 65) Application
