I would find this hard to believe Beanie but for the fact some students at uni used to irritate me by breathing!

Especially annoying when you were trying to choke them at the time.

Yay pay day...money shuffle done a further £200 off the I terested free visa a bit paid to the mortgage and enough left to cover the bills for the month ( apparently)

Nothing else much happens now till next pay day ... so it's back to the humdrum of trying to find pennies for tilly tidies and waitING for the DDM's to come out

Well today we go and pick our caravan up again and bring it home, I'm really enjoying the idea of a caravan,
. Years ago if I had been told I would get on I would've laughed as I loved camping and saw caravaning as ... well not camping really .

And it isn't, but time moves on and frozen shoulders appear and become joined with arthritis and we still went camping, only now we were in pain and often had to cancel our holidays as we were soaked through, so we looked at caravans and camper vans.

We realistically couldn't afford a camper van, so looked at micro caravans, but quickly started discounting them as well... what we have found which we hope is perfect for us is a 2 berth caravan.

It's compact, it's neat, it appears to suit our needs.

It's been away since just before Xmas getting a mover fitted, it was ready ages ago but we've been away and it's been snowing so we havnt been able to get it till today.

The plan for the van is that I only work every other weekend in the good weather and we go away the other two, also in the summer we finally finally finally go and do Eilean Donnan castle, the Callanish stones, Harris and Skye.

We will be buying a generator for the van as well, the aim of this is to go off site, Mr El and I love our wild camping, we don't like being in a structured place with loads of other people , so we are planning on doing some wild caravaning as well.

In a few years once we've finally seen Scotland we intend on going to visit France, Portugal and Spain to look for areas we may wish to move to.

We still intend on doing our holidays to Vietnam and Cambodia etc, but when I'm qualified we intend on going away much more and the caravan is aimed at helping us achieve this

Sounds lovely El, a resounding +1 for disliking structured time/travel. Don't get me wrong, I like knowing that my flight will be on time, or that I get x days a year leave from a job where I work set hours, but I don't like feeling 'managed' in my down time. I even get grouchy when people invite you to parties etc. on a weekend when all you wanted was your jammies and a crap DVD :D

Yep Ed were the same, we like to suit ourselves with holidays and out of work fun things as well

Well it started snowing, and one of our neighbours has a spring in their garden so when the cold weather comes the road turns into an ice rink.

We went over to see the people that have the caravan and explain we went too sure of bringing it him due to the weather, they were happy to keep it longer ... but we saw the mover working g and thought hey let's try this

So took the van home and got it into the driveway ... we were worried incase it slid away

But this mover is amazing... took total control of the the whole thing, Mr El managed it by himself, last time it took us 5 people and we were all very stressed about it and physically exhausted by the whole thing , this mover takes care of all that

So now we're getting it aired a wee bit as it seems to be foosty with some dampness on it due to not being aired and winter being here... will get it all washed down before we use it obviously, so glad I took the seating and stuff in

Excited to go caravaning now :)
