Hi all
I'm thinking about transferring my cash ISA to Clydesdale's 40 day notice ISA.
However, I've not heard of this bank before and was wondering if they are reputable, and if anyone here has any experience of them and their customer service etc.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I'm not sure about Clydesdale but if you have a Yorkshire Bank branch near you why not go with these?
They are Clydesdales sister company and they too offer the same 40 day notice.
I think there is more peace of mind if you have a branch that you can visit and speak to someone face to face.
I've only just started the process with Yorskhire so I can't comment on Yorskhire but so far the transfer process has gone smoothly. I'm just waiting for documents now to come through the post.
I had the appointment last Wednesday so I'm not expecting anything till next week, what with the Easter hols.0 -

None nearby, unfortunately!0 -
Errr, I should clarify, I don't mind whether it's phone/post/net banking. I was just asking if Clydesdale are any good, as I've never heard of them.0

Have a look on the forums, loads of posts about them.
I transferred an account to them, all went smoothly and runs ok plus they paid me £150 for the privilege. What's not to likeRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Clydesdale are an old, respectable bank, now owned by an Australian bank that would like to sell it. I wouldn't be worried about using Clydesdale or Yorkshire.Free the dunston one next time too.0

Our local branch is over 25 miles away, but I wanted to transfer a maturing NatWest ISA and open a 2yr Fixed ISA with Clydesdale.
Rang them up and they were extremely helpful, did a security check on the phone with me to save time and was given an appointment to do these transactions later today.0 -
You shouldn't need to go anywhere near a branch to just make an ISA transfer. Filling in the simple form available on their website and posting it to them should be enough. That worked for me, anyway.0

I'm fairly sure that, at least for a few days, the only way to apply for this was in branch.
It was just before the Easter Holiday, so my assumption was that they wanted to avoid any repercussions from people leaving 2014/15 subscriptions too late, being counted as 2015/16, and complaining.0
