Are the USD dispensing machines at Stansted located in the check-in area (i.e. you don't need to go through security)?

I'm flying to the US from Heathrow T3 (no Moneycorp ATMs) but am driving past Stansted several times before then. In the past, when I needed Euros, I parked in the mid-stay car park (free for 30 mins) then caught the bus to the terminal. Obtained my euros, then took the bus back to the car park.

I can't say for certain that they have been upgraded to dispense dollars also, liked the ones airside, but there are certainly some machines landslide. I'm not sure your can get the car park bus there and back within the thirty minutes though.

At Southend airport the one ATM that dispenses USD has now been moved landslide, to below the escalator that goes up to security. So that's now an ideal opportunity for anyone living or passing nearby. The car can be left briefly in the road outside, behind the taxis, where people wait to pick up.

Thanks. Turns out it is one hour free at Stansted. Knew I'd done this a few years ago without having to rush (to withdraw almost a thousand euros, so worth my time).

They may still give ten minutes free for the pick up zone in the short stay right outside, which could be enough if you're quick -
but they are forever cutting anything free at Stansted...

Unfortunately not. Last time I was there, the taxi driver complained it was £3.50 for ten minutes. No unattended vehicles allowed either.

That's the drop off area right outside the concourse, I refer to the pick up zone in one of the short stay car parks below (it should be signed). Unless it's changed you could leave your car there and zip up the escalator to the arrivals area where there should be (were) some ATMs opposite the Moneycorp stand, draw your dollars, back down and drive out within the free ten minutes.
