We have a Waitrose close by but its difficult to get in it due to people queueing to get coffee?0

The coffee is nice, I always get told off for pulling my cup away early as I like it strong.Left is never right but I always am.0

I'm not sure if this is now the standard, but my local Waitrose is making it harder to get the free coffee. I used to be able to get mine at the deli counter or the bakery section if customer services was busy. Now you can only use the first two if buying something there (a bit like the change in the cafe a while back, where they said you could only get your coffee there if buying some incredibly expensive food item at the same time).
Most of the time I'll wait at customers services, if I have to do so, but I think a lot of people might not bother. Yes, I know a lot of us are taking the mickey and getting a free coffee without buying anything, but it's a shame nonetheless.'I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my father. Not screaming and terrified like his passengers.' (Bob Monkhouse).

Agreed. Such a middle-class problem!
Sometimes I've had to wait for up to 2 minutes at customer services.Left is never right but I always am.0 -

I believe it's the other way round. Waitrose pay their staff less than other supermarkets, in terms of a £s per hour. But then top it up with the famous partnership bonus.
We shall have to see what will happen when Waitrose are forced by Gideon to pay his living wage.0 -

You need a reusable coffee mug. Waitrose sell 'em.0 -

Not in my local Waitrose.
No one has ever sought to prevent me from using the machine to fill up my Waitrose branded reusable coffee mug.0 -
Blimey, I don't recall ever having a coffee in Waitrose. On the other hand, I have had to dodge a bit as people insist on trying to drink it while also pushing a trolley.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0
