Snow!!! It's the end of April. You clearly live in an uninhabitable zone.
It's perfectly habitable for Polar Bears and Aberdonians.....
Soft southerners, not so much.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

To be fair there isn't much of the world's population that lives further south than me:D.
Still, snow more than a month after the equinox. That's just plain wrong.
It's getting cool here now. I got the train home this evening having left my jacket behind and the air con was jammed on full. I was bloody freezing by the time I got home. Sydney simply isn't designed for the temperature to get below about 15C. 36 hours below freezing would see thousands dead.0 -

I'll watch.
Edit 1: Missed the start, signal's very choppy ... tried jiggling aerial but I'll have to give it another go.
Edit 2: Who they chose instead's got the personality of an old dishcloth, comes over as being a bit of a village idiot.
Edit 3: Homeowner asked "if you had to choose between the pillow or the bedspread which'd you choose?" and the daft mare said "pillow". I'd have thought "Hey - they're paying for these, I'll say the bedspread, it's more expensive than the pillow and I can pop back and buy a pillow once they've gone"
Edit 4: So, they bought a house to do up, a renovation project, then couldn't afford to fix the structural problem they uncovered. It does make me spit, surely there were plenty of "regular people, living in homes, with problems" rather than all these "renovation project" lifestyle junkies.
Good summary! I think it is fair to say that the other guy is dull, I didn't know if I was being mean, but 'looking for' the spindles was weird. They called again at end of Feb and asked if the boy would take over. He told them he was still busy and to call back in May. I don't know if they will call or that he will have the capacity.
I'm glad at least that they didn't bodge over things they genuinely didn't have the time or money for. That was a major concern for us = reputation.
I would have picked the throw as well.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ahhhh. Fir wins, by a country mile
Congratulations to him, and to you. Enjoy :j
Edit: Though I was supposed to (finally) be getting my front door tomorrow. I paid the deposit in September. Just found an email saying tete waiting for the frame so can we do the first week in May now
I'm sure they're going to do a good job, but it feels like it's never going to happen.
But it gives me the chance to ask for NP advice...
Knockers.
Should I get a door knocker? I'm tempted by a woodpecker one, but not sure where I'd put it on the door without cluttering it. I don't expect it to get much use. And perhaps the woodpecker isn't as very clever idea (I don't really like the traditional urn ones). Thoughts?
Plus, kids seem to love knocking it! (eg my nephews).Better make the most of this one then. Ready when you are, Mr. PoldarkDoozergirl wrote: »Taking the day off, I think. I could start a sweepstake on what time Doozer asks me to do some admin, if you fancy?
My back hurts. My hips hurt. I haven't eaten since Saturday morning, but summoning up the energy to give anyone a black eye that asks for work is a possibility.
Thanks for asking!!:cool:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
OH has gone off to a committee meeting looking like a scarecrow (his usual look ) and we had a big row before he went about how he dresses. Hum.
I've had a day in bed again today after going to lottie yesterday. Though I didn't do a lot there I'm stiff and sore today. But after weeding took some photos, this is the best, primroses that we brought back from the caravan garden.Primrose at lottie by ukmaggie45, on Flickr
Everywhere is getting green and glorious, this is on the road back from lottie to home.On the way home from lottie by ukmaggie45, on Flickr
Today we've had some fantastic cloudscapes, this isn't the best, but the best I got pic of from my bed. From my bed 27 April 2015 by ukmaggie45, on Flickr
Oh, and please don't quote this bit as I'll delete later, but here's our home as we were driving back from lottie yesterday.

Just watching the program about Harley Street... They talking about the staying healthy program one of these people does, it cost £10K a year! Sheesh, I've spent hours on Grauniad CiF the last few days, spending that amount of money on pretend medicine like this seems all wrong to me. A fool and her (seems to be mainly wimen) are soon parted.0

I'm glad you're watching it. I was just thinking, if she's spending that much and is complaining of having more stress, low energy and becoming introvert, it clearly isn't working.
Interesting the way they're looking tumours and not paycological issues.
And here she is having loads of scans atound Harley Street, paying for a guy to follow her. Mmm. I wonder how they make their money.
I'd rather go to the leech lady.
Ah! EFT! I wonder if they present this as mumbo jumbo.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
