    Happy Birthday Sue!

Congraats Mr and Mrs Percy :)

Nikkster I love the woodpecker, and the squirrel, and the Art Deco one, and...and...and...

We brought DD1 a pretty brass one from Malta, shaped rather like a lyre. It took ages to choose one. The one we liked least was in the shape of a little hand emerging from a lace cuff; it looked distinctly creepy, as if it would crawl up the door all on its own!

    Kiwi loves running it seems.

This morning fir was unsure how he'd feel about being approached with collar etc for the run. Kiwi jumped up and then made fir wait saying 'first, daddy, we stretch'

Fir agreed kiwi showed greater wisdom than he. So they stretched, then ran.

They ran through two villages. When they got back kiwi said.

'Wanna go again, wanna go again'

So much for tiring him out a bit! He's going to get fitter but no less full of energy!

    Builders

We wanted the electric car charger point installed in our garage but it turns out that although the wire to the new fuse box is probably thick enough it has not been 'terminated correctly' in the garage so the installer can not work off that box.

Then possibly far worse they looked at the meter side and it appears the new fuse box may have been taken off the supply on the wrong side of the meter...yes I am an electricity thief, will any NP come and visit me in prison?

Of course we have everything signed off by the correct people (I assume, I just took the pieces of paper given to me by the builders) but who knows if ignorance is any sort of defence?

    I think so.

Nevermind free expression - what about the 'Full Monty' one?! You'd have to have balls to put that on your front door!

Fortunately, to prove theft the crown needs to show that you acted dishonestly. So, if you mistakenly picked up someone else's coat or umbrella in the cloakroom, that would not be theft.

I am really surprised your builders took the supply off the wrong side of the meter, as they would have been working with live electricity.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I know it all seems a bit odd, I wonder if the guy who came today to fit the car charger could have been mistaken although he did say that there is no 'master switch' so they probably pulled the 'master fuse' even though only the electricity board is supposed to touch this. And then why wire it so the new fuse board is not off the meter as the benefit would be to me not the guy doing it who presumably puts his licence to do certified work at risk by doing so?

My understanding was that the guy who did most of the work was not certified so instead they got the certified guy to check it all over and sign it off (I hope this was OK, they told me it was normal) but now I am wondering if this bit is done completely wrong what else could also be wrong and potentially dangerous
