That simply means there's "no change" - so better the devil you know :)

I did nothing for about a year after my weak move (sticking with supplier but changing to their cheapest tariff), joined the MSE energy club collective switch and am going to save £50 a month.

Do it, you know you want to.

I wish I could switch. I'm on E10 so cannot switch as it is an unusual tariff. It is consequently more expensive and not one of the tariffs watched by OFGEN. It works for us though as you don't get those chilly times that you get with E7.

It must be national food waste week ... just made two bits of toast for lunch, marg'd them, cut them ....turned round, lost my bearings/footing ...and two pieces hit the floor. So it's one piece of toast for lunch now!

5 second rule innit. Food on the floor doesn't get germs for the first 5 seconds.

Going to be a stinker tomorrow. 36C and humid. Cool change coming through on Saturday though thank goodness. It's great for getting the washing dry though! By the time I'd done the third load the first was dry yesterday.

I often think the ony reason the industrial revolution took place in Britain was that we had a climate that allowed us to feed ourselves witout using up every possible hour of our lives and thus left time (when it wasn't too hot or cold to do anything) to think about how to do things with less effort.
    I think....

Gah! Been dying for the post to come today. Popped back home earlier, not been. Saw the post ladies right up the road though.

Just got home again, post there, not the thing I wanted. Then spotted some more post under the shoe cabinet (thanks, Doozerdog) - raised hopes again. Not there either.

    Big day today. Driving lessons.

OH is supposed to collect car on Monday, however my licence is still not through (I have a letter from DVLA confirmng I am legally able to drive which is fine driving lessons) and cannot get insurance. May have to postpone handover until we are back from holiday, that is when adaptations are being done anyway.

    DG-Tickets? Invitation?Large cheque? Shopping?

One day it'll all be tracked and when it comes through your letterbox it'll generate a beep on your phone.... for everybody, automatically. Not just a premium/option on special parcels that are tracked.

Probably right after all postal staff are replaced by robots and droids.

Will the droids open jars and sign for my post so that they do not wake me up/make me come down stairs when signatures are required?

    Grammar school scores. :o

Have to wait until lunchtime again, until they introduce the mail drones and the zombie apocalypse of posties. Then dogs will have to find someone else to get angry at.

Good luck Spirit and Miss doozergirl!

Maggie I hope you're feeling better ((HUGS))

We went to our great-niece's Christening at the weekend. We hadn't seen her since she was 3 months old, and she's 9 months now. She's very cute, and decided her great-uncle ivyleaf was good entertainment value what with his bunch of keys/keyrings attached to his belt, and his patience with her animal glove puppets :)

Next door but one have put in a planning application. The council have registered it as 'new dwelling' but the application form says extension and loft conversion.

The extension bears no relation to the existing house and there are no loft plans to see. The new 'roof plan' is literally the tiles. I can only see one window apeture that is the same on the entire house. And I can't see any of the existing internal walls - and more worryingly, the actual shape of the existing house in there.

I'd say it was a different house if the existing house and site plan weren't correct and on the same sheet of paper.

It would be nuts to rebuild it - would never be worth what it costs. But also nuts to extend like that - a new build would be cheaper.

    Really confused!
