Oh Sue, bless his heart
I have a very sore throat, swollen glands, a bit of a cough and slightly snuffly nose. Apparently it's "that thing that's going round". DS kindly brought it home from work with him :cool:0 -

You need to remind DS, that "it's good to share" is just a slogan from Quality Street0 -

Just got two of SIL's favourite handwash for about half price.

I would like to recommend zag's homeopathic cold remedy; the hottest curry you can manage, so it burns your mouth and throat makes your tears flow and your nose run and you'll sweat and have a temperature. And even if you still have a cold afterwards, you'll have had a good curry!
Other remedies are available.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Oh and I went out to look at cars for me today.
We were out from 10.am until 4.30 and /i have shortlisted 3.
Hyundai IX 20- 6 months old < 2000 miles.
BMW 2 series Grand Tourer or active tourer- no used yet as too new a model.
mercedes B class- new/possibly used
Went out resolute that function was the main criteria, Automatic and possibly electronic handbrake. After looking today other essentials were firmed up. Rear view camera, leather upholstery, heated seats.
The leather is easier to deal with when a wet dog has been resting his head on the seats, heated seats because I am soft and like them, the camera because it was surprisingly useful.
OH likes BMW. I am undecided. I did not want new as I wanted to avoid the hit of depreciation but I could imagine keeping Keeping the Bmw or Merc long term.
Hyundai is very good and the mse option. Apremium brand will not make me a better person but they have refinements that lessen my difficulties in moving freely, and I felt a bit more like my oldself in them. We are paying cash and I am questioning why I feel uplifted by them. And why this shallow "soft" issue makes me willing to spend more than double the hyundai cost.

Vanity?
Surely cost including finance over the period of ownership is more important than upfront cost? Plus I would have thought it was all about making it easy for you at the moment?
One of our cars has a camera but no beepers, I still find myself straining to look over my shoulder or reversing without looking as there is no beeping - the other has beepers no camera, I find myself looking at the central console to see what is behind
The kids love our old car so much more than the new one, high seating and loads of space even though it is a fair bit shorter, individual reclining seats etc. I find it is much harder to drive, you have to remember to change gear (stalled this evening slowing down for a traffic light as forgot to change down/clutch), use hand brake for hill starts, steering is not finger tip light no cruise/speed limiter etc.I think....0 -
Kids internet settings?
Our old isp router let you set different internet access times for every connected device so I let DD1 connect for 30 mins in the morning an hour after school and an hour after dinner on her phone.
The new one's router does not seem to have this functionality. Anyone know of other ways to control this?
(And no, can't use the old router for the new isp as it is locked with no hack according to google and have tried adding the old router as an access point but the access restriction settings only block its internet not the whole network)I think....0
