Not necessarily.
There was that human rights case of the men prosecuted for nailing each others' scrota to bits of wood, I think on an aggravated assault charge. That ended up with them being found guilty. (I would link to the case but I'm not typing the required words into Google at work!!!).0 -

If you looked into it with your usual money saving brain in gear, you wouldn't be looking at anything like that sort of price.
I have lenses through the contact lens by post scheme, that was D&A and is now Boots. I'm on the low user scheme, so can get 30 lens x2 (eyes) every 3 months for £15 a month. But anytime you have built up a supply and don't require the re-order you can cancel the order for upto 6 months. I wear them infrequently so usually cancel for 6 months at a time. End up paying £15 3 times a year = £45. In return I get free consultations, 50% discount on glasses and 10% of any boots own brand product. I probably save more than I spend on lenses.I think....0 -

Michaels has astigmatism so would probably need "toric" contact lenses. My DGS has these. They are more expensive than standard ones, unfortunately. I think his are £42 per monthHe couldn't see properly with ordinary ones.

Perhaps we should all make our feelings known to our regular shops how SMALL the description and price is on their products.
I am convinced that the "committee" in the company that choose the font and size of their price tags are all under 35 with perfect vision. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

Thanks, may be I will look into it. Can contact lenses be varifocals? Apparently I would need special contact lenses due to the astigmatism?
Apparently what most people who'd wear varifocal glasses do is to have one contact lens to suit their distance vision and the other for close vision. It sounds weird, but the brain sorts it out
I believe varifocal ones are available but rather expensive, and I'm not sure how effective they are but the contact lens specialist would know
Or you could have contact lenses for distance vision, and use reading glasses.
I must admit that if I need to do something like threading a needle or reading very small print, I look over the top of my glasses, so I'd be a bit stuck if I had contact lenses!0 -
A £2 loan to start a business??? That doesn't seem an awful lot. When was this? It would be interesting to compare with average wages at the time.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Eat Well for Less.
The grocer/presenter said "I don't think I've EVER seen as much food in a house".
Today I've spent 70p on lunch and 40p on tea
Steady on there PN - you've been rather extravagant today!
My lunch cost 28p and my dinner 23p0
