Lots of NPs know a lots about high performance cars but I'm looking for any NP tips on finding a reliable cheap small car for me to squeeze down narrow country lanes. Some posters here have mentioned some potential good examples. Any experiences worth sharing?DD has A hyundai I10.\small, cheap to run, does motorways every day and narrow country lanes most days.
DW has an i10 1.2, really happy with it. I find it has a bit too much wind and rolling noise on motorways, but it's reliable and cheap to run. Don't consider it if you're tall, because you'll be poking with your feet against the steering column. Another big letdown is the lack of an 'intermittent' position on the wipers. Strange really, because it has airco and elec windows, but no intermittent wipers...go figure. I assumed even the most basic car would have intermittent wipers....
When DW had a little accident with the i10, she got a Fiesta courtesy car. Nice and comfy, but a bit under-powered IMO (1.2 engine also).
Others I'd consider are
Toyota Yaris
Mazda 2
Honda Jazz
Ford Ka
VW Polo
VW Fox
Nissan Note

I am a Brit who moved to Luxembourg for Love.
Wheezy, OTOH, is a Belgian who moved to the UK for, err, Wheezy, come to think of it I have no idea what your reasons for living here are. I don't even know if Mrs Wheezy is Belgian or British or anything else.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

So hematologist tomorrow and I must confess I'm a little concerned.
I've been told to watch out for some symptoms and I have a couple of them including, maybe, a lump.0 -

Two bin bags of clothes gone - not bad considering I shed over six at the end of last year. I have some really pretty things that have been shoved in a drawer because I don't like ironing and yet I'm wearing fraying cardigans. I shall bring the ironing board up to the bedroom this week sometime.
Shed over 100 home magazines as well today.
The office is getting lighter. Doozer removed the wall to it today. It's going to be the dining room once it's clear. There's a sofa on end in there waiting for the wall to be finished for my new lounge. The bookshelf in there has been relieved of all duty.
It feels like I'm shedding layers. It's marvellous.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
