I still don't eat breakfast.
After a weekend of people telling me I look tired/asking what's up all the time, I'm starting to think events are getting to me a bit.
Most of sunday I spent in quiet(ish) reflection. Pottered in the garden, doing things I had procrastinated over, in a vague attempt to keep myself occupied.
After a while, I realised it was more an attempt to prevent myself snapping/losing my rag at others.
Have gradually concluded that sadness/depression (the feeling, not illness) is the minor aspect, & anger is the main thing I'm feeling. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Am seriously p*ssed off. Purchaser had a question she asked EA who told her she needed to contact her solicitor and ask them. Solicitor not there today! Grrr! This is the day they told us would be completion day. I've no idea if we'll even sell now. I think their sol is carp  - disappear at 3pm on what was supposed to be exchange day  and then have a day off on what was supposed to be completion day. Thank goodness we have a decent sol who we trust, :j I would never ever ever use the company that our purchaser is using!
Hitting the gin again!
At least we totally finished clearing house yesterday, :j and OH just went back to get some more stuff back from the back yard (more bricks and some terracotta pots and some old bamboo stakes plus we harvested more of the black bamboo plants too) first thing this morning..
We'll just have to see what tomorrow brings.0 -
We are employing a solicitor we trusted. He has done an excellent job previously. This term he has found issues that turned out not to be, has gone off on holiday with inadequate locum in place (who doesn't actually seem to be dealing with anything) and our request that minor issues shouldn't delay things seems to have been ignored. I am beginning to wish we had employed a less thorough solicitor in the first place. He will get back to the office 2 days before we go on holiday, if he doesn't prioritise our case we seriously risk losing the property and similar properties have come on the market at 30k more.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. If you are getting angry then they are winning...and they are certainly not worth the effort of getting angry over. Deep breath, there are many more important things in life.I think....0

Pitfalls:- watch out for students who turn up and only then casually mention they have coeliac disease? It's a disaster!
I'm surprised that this is not arranged in advance. You would have thought it was in the intro paperwork before you take the students on, rather than being left to the students. What if they were not fluent enough to get across in English that they had a peanut allergy?PasturesNew wrote: »Thought it was a bit wobbly at 70mph. Puncture. Bugg4h. Drat and double drat. Sorry about the puncture and the tooth. Hoping that it is only a filling that you need.
More love and best wishes to the NP having a tough time at the moment. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
