The anti bacterial hand washes are no more effective than a normal soap, the main thing is washing your hands properly.

It has been proven many times and its all just scare tactics (as with many products).

Just buy whichever soap you like (be it smell, consistency etc) and be happy.

Yah - same with washing up liquid. Hot water with a good squirt of cheapo washing up liquid in it will basically kill any bacteria. Quite why the mrs insists on putting all the bottles for our babies in a steriliser after they have been washed is beyond me but she does it rigorously.

I have taken to washing them up and then putting them in the steriliser afterwards and just telling her that I ran it...

Maybe I shouldn't confess that I got that one straight away.
In my defence, I had heard it before!

I first heard it over 50 years ago. No exaggeration.

Even scarier is the prospect of having no more MRI when we run out of helium (which some people predict will be in ~50 years). At least helium used for getting stuff very cold is all collected and recycled, but why are we wasting it in balloons that allow it to escape into the atmosphere and from there to float to the top and off into space??

Can't be bothered with hand cream. Prefer a moisturising liquid soap so hands don't get cracked and dry without having to find the time to put cream on them.

I totally agree. The waste of helium is just so incredibly stupid.

Vent. Seriously brush over, I just have to get this out.

RP has been home less than three hours. Left gate open , kiwi is gone, missed supper, didn't come back when I bashed bowls. I checked his favourite ratting spots, I have just walked around fields, not found him. Driven down road and round the block in a figure of eight, not found him ( hopefully he'd stick to fields though anyway).

RP keeps saying not RP's fault because its not an external gate, but its the only KIWI proof gate. Kiwi hasn't run away the whole time RP hS been away. So I'm really, really cross.

Edit: pressed send and the Kiwi bounded in, jumped into my arms and told me all about his adventures. Phew.

Hugs. So glad Kiwi is safe.

I think this may be another example of RP's cognitive functions deteriorating. :(
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    :(

Yes, tbh, that's what matters to me. I don't mind when he is off ratting, but I don't that....

Pleased to hear about the safe return of Kiwi. Sorry to hear about the thoughts on the reason he went in the first place :(

I *still* don't get the nuns/ soap joke :o I even said it out loud as advised.

Big fan of the Nemo shower thingy - want one!

I like those shower thingies in practicality, but emotionally they leave me feeling....well, like I just rubbed my self with a ball of plastic netting. :o. It doesn't make me feel....as if I have 'loved myself well' during the cleansing ritual of my shower.

I really like a fake sponge with the really scratchy side ( I love the really scratchy side!) . But others mistake them for something to clean the bathroom with.

Real sponges and loofahs look unbeatably beautiful but never feel good to me.

So clarisonic for face , a face cloth and a good body brush win for me.

I assume you jest, but I'll humour you. Spelling/how it sounds twist.

Nuns in the bath = naked women in a bath
Where's the soap = Where is the soap. Misheard as "Wears the soap" = "It wears the soap".... inferring one naked nun is using the soap as a dildo.

2nd naked nun agrees that using the soap as a dildo DOES wear the soap.

I wasn't jesting! Let's blame it on a long (short) week.

I got as far as it being 'wear' not 'where' but was trying to work out some kind of clothing-type situation. Which whilst ridiculous, was not funny.
Not often I have an innocent mind, but apparently it does happen :A
