I have had Siemens, which are similar to Bosch, I was thinking of giving Hotpoint a chance as this protects British jobs. I cannot see any positive reviews anywhere for Hotpoint. Budget ?

Miele, ours is 11 years old and still works as well as the first wash. The beauty of ours is it has a third shelf which is for the cutlery, freeing up the normal box type holder on the lower shelf.

We have a Hotpoint at work it's awful.
We have a Miele which was on offer. Otherwise would have gone for a Bosch.

Hot point is owned by Indesit, so are Italian.

Miele dishwashers are vastly superior to Bosch, Neff or Siemens.

And Indesit is owned by Whirlpool, which is American!

I'm no expert on the bottom end of the appliance marked, but I don't think you are right. Whirlpool doesn't have anything to do with the Indesit Group. Indesit Group is owned by one of the Merloni brothers I believe and the other Merloni brother owns the Candy Hoover group. But as I say I'm not an expert on this end of the market.
