water damaged D500 - What can i do
Comments
-
the battery is almost certainly losing charge quick because the phone is shorting across the chips inside, which will also prob be the cause of no bluetooth etc.
i would still recommend an ultrasonic clean of the pcb
pm me if you cant find anyone local to do it0 -
how much is an ultrasonic clean likely to cost would you imagine?0
-
a repair shop would prob charge about £25
there is no guarentees with this type of work as it depends on the damage that is already done
check your pms0 -
Right, well the only thing im concerned about is whether i could have done some damage to it by using it afterwards. Ive had it on as normal plugged into the charger.
drahcir - check your PMs0 -

don't try it out to see if it works, and hope; the very first thing to do is to remove the battery to prevent short circuits and electrolytic corrosion, then start taking steps to clean and dry it.0
