Excel parking fine-should i pay?

I will keep this long story short, hope someone can help-I got a parking ticket a few months ago which i appealed and lost.I have since had the debt passed to Rossendales from Excel parking services and am now worried that I should pay as the letter has red writing all over it saying it is in my interest to deal with this matter immediately. They have now added another £30 admin fee to the debt now totalling £130.
Does anyone know what will happen if i dont pay-I am 19 years old with not much money and all my friends and other internet searches have been telling me to ignore this companys demands and that they cannot enforce this debt-is that true,I'm worried as dont want the bailiffs coming to my mums door!!
Thanks

Read the sticky newbies thread in the parking fines forum and start a new thread there if you need any further help

And it's not a fine - a private company cannot fine you.

Whether its a "fine" or a "charge" is pretty irrelevant to the OP faced with the bill!

Highly relevant, but we can agree to disagree.

OP has posted in the Parking board anyway and is getting the necessary help.

The relevant issue is can it be enforced not what the OP has called it is it not?

If you use the correct terminology then it helps to achieve the right mindset' "Fine" suggests court, police, bailiffs etc. "Invoice" brings the threat factor down immensely.

But I have no desire to get into a debate - if you want the last word, have it.

Where as that can never happen for not paying an invoice or from civil action?

    .

How can the interchange of the word "fine" and "charge/fee/bill/" etc be "highly relevant"?

Everyone reading the post knows what he means.

Just looks petty and pedantic of you to pick on a newbie for using it.

Sigh. Since I'm being harangued I'm compelled to defend myself ...

@Spicy ... different courts, different circumstances, as I'm sure you well know. Yes court is a possible outcome, but it is civil not criminal/statutory. The chances of court-appointed bailiffs being assigned for a parking invoice are negligible, and could only happen if the OP acted like an ostrich and ignored everything.

@Quentin ... post 7 already addresses this. Psychology - having the right mindset makes things like this easier to deal with. And I was NOT having a dig at the OP - it was advice given in good faith for good reasons. I resent your inference.

Right - that's it - I'm now out. Have the thread to yourself, I'll not be replying in here further.

Well maybe if you stuck to factual posts you would need to keep coming back to correct yourself.

You're pedantic towards others when you need to be having a look at yourself.
