Are you implying that it's impossible to pass the check if you aren't on the Electoral Roll?
My son had his first mobile contract well before he registered on the Roll.

So how did it pass the credit check?????????

I am not one for swearing but !!!!!!!!! How many times do you want me to answer that question? I have already stated TWICE that there is a margin of error when credit checks are processed. So if she put all of the correct details apart from DOB, this has been enough to pass.

I am not sure which bit you do not get. 15 year old girl has put wrong info in an application - I would argue knowingly. This is fraud. No matter how you try and dress it up. So again, what is it about this you do not understand??

Regardless of how the contract was ended, it was still (as mentioned above and by lots of other people), taken fraudulently.

I think you will find that D123 was meaning the person mentioned in the Opening Post ie the daughter.

Either way you seem to be hung up with not knowing the situation yourself.
I asked you whether she had given the correct details in post #2
You replied in post #3 she wasn't asked.
I explained she would have to give DOB in post #5
You then claimed the person in the shop made an error and didn't ask her DOB in post #15
Then you later claim they applied online in post #22 and went on to say there was a problem with the sim and so father and daughter went to a shop and put the bank details in his name.
My guess would be the sim was blocked that was sent out due to incorrect details or whatever and it was then processed using the Fathers details to activate it.

Without knowing what details were put in by the daughter as I said before who's to know so why not ask her how she did it
It's not just about the money

I was referring to the person mentioned in the original post, it's quite simple, the fraudster just adds 3 years to their DOB (date of birth, before you get confused ;)) and the system seeing them being just 18 wouldn't necessarily decline the application just for not being on the Roll.
