We'd love to start a compendium of free sewing patterns and the MoneySavingExpert crafting board's the ideal place.
Please help other crafters and sewers by linking here to ones you've spotted or to good free sources online.
We'll be asking other crafters to join in too.
I'm looking forward to seeing them

What a good idea. I get Prima every month, subscribers get the free pattern genuinely free, you don't have to phone for it. Pinterest is a great source, I need to make a batch of bags as a fundraiser soon. This will lessen my fabric mountain too so is a good thing all round. Here is my pinterest find: https://uk.pinterest.com/knexs/sewing-bags/

Great thread!
Here are some for projects taken from the Great British Sewing Bee:

And there are several on this website--I think they're primarily women's clothes, often with a retro twist:

This is a small but growing site that publishes a new free sewing pattern every day:
sewing4free.com
But the So Sew Easy site is my favorite. Lots of free patterns, at least one new one each month, and links to hundreds more.

This site has free patterns and I have recently bought one from here too. Very easy to download and print.

As I am not allowed to post links I would like to suggest checking
plantain t-shirt from deer and doe and sorbetto from collete.
Both are independent pattern companies.0 -
I haven't made anything from this website (yet). But, http://www.spitupandstilettos.com/ has some lovely looking ladies patterns. I have downloaded the Cami top and a skirt pattern to make up at the weekend.Slimming world new starter 2/1/17
