These are good for removing numbers (and chips)
That's good. If you pick the right spot you would remove the chip, the CVV, a good chunk of the 16 digit card number and probably the contactless transmitter too. I would save hours.

I never sign credit/debit cards and write "check my ID" instead. I realise this strictly means the card isn't valid for visa/MasterCard. Sometimes a merchant will refuse. I leave without completing, even if I have alternate methods. Sometimes they check my ID. Most often they don't even notice.

I never put real answers in security challenges such as "mothers maiden name" or "first school". I don't even know 95% of my passwords, which are generated by password vault software.

To make it valid, all you need to do is Sign the card and then write See ID.

This thread is entertaining. Makes me feel relatively sane.
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning

Before using any card in public I used to sand-down the 16 digits and account details on the front so they were no longer present, and colour in the signature strip (along with the CVV) using a black marker. Cards that I would be using more frequently in public I also removed or drilled the chip.

I just spat my tea out reading this. All you'll have left is a useless bit of plastic!

Quite. I was initially taken in by post#21, having forgotten what day it is.

Had multiple cards never had any fraud, having seen people that encounter fraud, it can be down to foolishness.

That depends really, its not your fault if a retailer has a data breach. Millions of people (Many of whom where from the UK) have had their card breached in one of the many US data breaches.
