Go for opening. As stated it has a one way system as such to lead you round. I would prefer during week or evening but if push come to shove (literally ;-) ) I would go on a bank hol.
Food and drink is very cheap if you fancy a cuppa.
Enjoy
Ah that might be a good idea, - get there early. Pondlife don't tend to be early risers.
Having said that, do Ikea actually open early on a Bank Holiday? maybe not :think:0 -

The Southampton one is my local Ikea. The best time to visit is during term time from about 3 p.m. onwards when many adults have left to pick children up from school. It's then quiet for most of the evening. Restaurant is good value too.
If I were you I wouldn't waste my BH on it but if you can go on a day off in a couple of weeks time or even after work than that's the best plan.
Ektorp has been around for years so it's a good sofa. I like it because it has washable, loose covers.0 -

Doors open earlier because the restaurant opens at 9·30.0 -
The man who designed Ikea was so clever, once they get you through the door they don't let you out until you've followed the arrows to walk all around the store and pick up all those impulse buys that seem to be a good idea, but you never went in for.
Not true!
There are sneaky doors and cut-throughs that let you get round without following the arrows - you just need to know where they are.0 -

If you MUST go on Monday - arrive an hour before opening and eat breakfast in the car .......Personally I'd go Tuesday evening an hour before closing.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
If you know what you want, look online and get the aisle and part number. That way you can avoid the hell that is the 'showroom'. Go straight to the warehouse, get the item, pay and get the hell out of dodge.
Works for me. If you need to 'browse' good luck. You'll need it.0 -
