are there any networks which do not have a 30 day expiry on pay as you go?

Heya
Just bought my little boy an unlocked phone. Would like to get him a sim but the only networks I've seen so far seem to have a 30 day expiry on any credit. I doubt he will be using the credit that much so would prefer a network who have a longer expiry. Does anyone know of any?

It's usually just the bundles that expire, so if you just add credit, and use that, but don't buy a bundle, you should be ok, although the bundles do often offer better value.
My partner is a very light mobile user and is with '3' on their '123' PAYG tariff and £10 can last her months. In her online account it actually says the credit balance and that it will 'never expire'
You may have to use the phone for a chargeable call or text every few months to keep the number active though.0 -
Loads!!!! Which networks told you otherwise? You sure they were not referring to the "bundles" ie pay £10 and get 500 mins for 30 days?0

I think all the networks let you keep your credit without expiry, so long as you make one chargeable action (pay to send a text or make a call) every 90/180/270 days depending on network.0

Expired credit isn't usually the issue with children and mobiles...No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Tesco PAYG.
Our daughter uses Tesco, we top up for her with £20 perhaps twice a year.
No issues, hassles, it just works.0 -

What phone? If it's 3G capable then have a look at Three, there basic PAYG rates are 3p per minute, 2p per text and 1p per MB for data.
They also give a free allocation of data (150MB valid for 30 days) each time you top up.====0
