Elasticmoney gentle hugs to teeth area.

Having a really happy day today for some reason (don't knock it).
Not working so managed that fine balance between having a lie-in but getting up in time to feel I haven't wasted a day.
    * Went to Body Attack
    * Quick top-up at Tesb0
*Collected lilies for arrangement for church (bites nails)
*ok also collected a C0sta on way home
    *emptied DW
    *did non-DW washing up
*one washing machine load hanging out
*entered gas & electric meter readings on line. Horrendous for last 3 months, but suppose it is to be expected as Mr N has been at home and trying to keep warm post-op, plus watching TV etc.

On the negative side, have inspected pond and it has definitely gone down a bit since yesterday, so presume liner damaged. New frog spawn in it today! There is already some in the little pond in the front garden.

Lovely and sunny out now, so going outside to play havoc with weeds and re-pot some of the plug veg I got at Ald1.

I've just had a productive hour. LR looks good, dusted, vacced, rehomed and generally tidied. Also vacced garage room, hall, DR and kitchen. Lots more putting away done and I'm now sat in conservatory sorting paper into recycling and reusing:)

The sun is just over so it's bright and warm in here. And peaceful;)

Will go collect DS soon, have some buns and £1 for the stall and I'll let him choose ones I don't like ;)

Fridge raiding for dinner - DS can have a picnic and I'll have leftovers I think, gammon and salad with pickled cauliflower mmm :p

I'm back from my hols. DS1 and DD2 have been home. Neither of them have lifted a finger. The house is a disgusting, dirty mess. My nice calm vibe went in an instant and I had a sense of humour failure. DD1 is at work do she will get both barrels when she gets home.

DH is on a job interview in NOrwich. I don't want him to come home to this mess but he needs to see how bone idle and lazy our kids are.

The WM is washing the holiday clothes. I put DD's washing on the line. Doubtless it will stay there as she will expect me to bring it in and iron it as well.

Dog and cat were civil to each other for my attention when I got home with DS3 and DD2. Wonders will never cease!

I'm sorry so many of you are feeling poorly, get well wishes to you all.

mumto5 - hope you had a great holiday and sorry such a sad ending with the mess in the house. Good luck for your DH with the interview.

Hope all the poorlies are feeling better for the up-coming weekend and you're all having a great Maundy Thursday

Well I'm cream-crackered !! All the paintwork, doors and floors done in bathroom, kitchen and hall. That's it for the day apart from cooking dinner -I'll start that at 6.00

Having a cuppa and a little sit-down. I shall use the time to sort out some paperwork I think and half-hour read of a new book.

    Hi all.

    Panic not, I aiten't dead....:D

We got back last Friday lunchtime, and this is the 1st time I've had chance to come to MSE.

Came home to 473 emails in my inbox (and receiving more each day) and my netbook's in a strop. Actually, I suspect it's just plain in need of replacing, but I'm waiting to see what the new Windows 10 will be like. I do not want Windows 8 under any circumstances!
    Currently using the pc.;)

We had a grand time; though having so many people around me was very disconcerting, and the only way to guarantee getting away from all of them was to retreat to our cabin, which we did fairly often.

However, we saw as much of the Eclipse as the clouds allowed, saw the Northern Lights, and had some lovely shore excursions, including bathing in the Blue Lagoon - URL if you're curious:
    http://www.bluelagoon.com/
We had to buy swimming gear specially!:rotfl:

I currently have Jessie Labradoodle staying.... and I have an injured paw. I managed to get Jessie's lead caught round it and squished it at a funny angle against the back of the seat of the mobility buggy - no idea how I did it, but it hurts like a painful thing, and, s0d's law, it's my left paw (and I'm left-handed).

Anyways, I doubt if I'll get on here much if at all over the 4-day weekend; we have loads to do here, and I want to take advantage of Mr LW's presence to shift some tasks I can't manage alone.:o

Must get on now, I need to sort out dins, and also do something about tidying Jessie's fur - she looks like a very untidy sheep at the moment!:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Welcome back - we've been wondering how you got on. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and great to see the eclipse. My mum is currently in Turkey for a week (83 year old gadabout) but is desperate for us to book a cruise when she gets back; we'll probably do a last-minute one later on.

For the record, I love Windows 8 (had it over a year now) but haven't yet downloaded the demo version of 10. I think I remember reading some reason why I shouldn't; must consult that magazine as it was a reason that I hadn't previously seen mentioned in all the blurb.

    Anyway keep relaxed!

Mumto5 what a pain, don't let them spoil the relaxed enjoyment of your holiday. I don't have children so I can't judge, but I know when I was 14 and my brother 4yrs younger, my mum announced that from now on we would cook the dinner at least once each week to give her a break. We made a fuss, but at least when we left home (which I did at 18) we'd had practice of housekeeping. Sorry I didn't mean that to sound judgemental and I'm certainly not a perfect houseperson by any stretch.

Well I've spent the afternoon potting up various seedlings and sowing more seeds. There are 6 cuddling frogs (oo-er) in the pond so if anyone wants.....adult photos......I'll put them up later. They were croaking quite merrily, lovely sound I think.

Just unloaded my first delivery from Appr0ved F00ds; they were meant to text me just before delivery but nothing came through - luckily the delivery man must have seen cars on drive and carried the box round to the back, he put it inside the open conservatory door as we were down the end of the garden. I must say that several items are smaller than I expected, serves me right for not working out properly what the weights were, although I did look at supermarket web sites to compare price and weight. I think a lot of things are samples which it does point out on the site. I think I still saved money, but with only 2 of us it was a struggle to reach the minimum order. However I have got some unusual things, like the Teff Flour which I am interested to try out.

Cooking dinner now, then out to a special church service. Anything to avoid listening to lying politicians!
