Re.adoption, from what I have gleaned it's a pretty difficult if not impossible task in this country. Too much red tape.
Yet the drive is to keep at children deemed to be at risk with their unfit parents. Go figure that one out.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

I'm childless - a mixture of biology and circumstance. Had 5 years of TTC with my ex, including 2 cycles of IVF (problems on both sides). Am now v recently single and 36.
The only advice I could offer would be to ignore anyone that says "just adopt". It's unfeasible that anyone who wants children and doesn't have them by their 30s/40s hasn't considered this already. It's about as helpful as "just relax, it will happen".0 -

Totally untrue.
You obviously have to be checked out and have reports written but it's not impossible and not even that difficult in the schem of things.
We had children placed with us about 6 months after making our first enquiry.0 -

Whilst there are people who think adoption very difficult (if not impossible) then there is a need for the subject to be brought up.0 -
Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter

Difficult time of year for some, but it feels like Spring is on the way and it's surprising how it can lift your mood :cool:0
