Is this post or pre BPA membership?

There are some interesting points in this judgement which VCS lost regarding loses, and the right to bring the case in their name.

JLA are in the process of updating their byelaws. So you may well ask if they need updating they must be relying on them for other purposes.

It doesn't matter whether it's relevant land or not as POFA 2012 & keeper liability only applies to unpaid parking charges. Stopping briefly on a road where the PPC decrees that stopping is forbidden is not parking. If the OP was not the driver then that is the only defence necessary (that's not to say that the other points on signage GPEOL etc shouldn't be chucked into)..

Does VCS have a photo of who was driving? From the rk details are they deducing the driver was the rk?
As this appears to be the first VCS court case at jla they must feel they have a chance, which surprises me given what we all know.

Ralph, I think that you may be underestimating the OP. He/she comes across as someone who knows their way around.

Indeed, and there are many reasons why you may need to stop, engine failure, lens falls out of glasses, bee/wasp, flat tyre, etc.

@OP - I'd be inclined to post this up in a new thread on Pepipoo as well.

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=60

There's a number of members there who have experience in court dealings, who rarely post here on MSE.

The more help you get, in this case, the better.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You should also check the pranksters post. It is ridiculous to claim a contract is in force if it is not safe to read the signage
