Hopefully buy 10 A v T and the apg sees £17.90 v £12.50, returning £6.65 reducing the cost of each bottle to 33.5 pence..:D0 -

I will try telling him it will be easier to choice the job he wants to do if he gets the qualifications, and to get them he needs to work hard, do not want to pressure him to much he is only in year 10, and I am not sure I approve of the school putting so much pressure on young pupils..
Your son and I might see equal worth in jobs(not sure about lawyers mind.), but paychecks say different.
Dustmen and recyclers are both honourable jobs btw. A couple of mates are on the bins, not much fun in the winter though.0 -
Afternoon Peeps,
After dreading going back to work this week, and wishing I could stay home sick, I have now got flu and I am at home and feel awful! Be careful what you wish for.
Dropped DH at work thismorning and thought I would look for reduced wine in T on the way back, but couldn't focus, so left empty handed. (Really, what was I thinking!). Went back to bed only to keep being woken up by phone calls from cold callers!
Time for more ASDA Flu tablets!

Tell him he can always succeed (if, as you say, he is bright), but it will be sh**loads easier if he does some work now. I know, from bitter experience.
Not necessarily, a very good friend of mine who had a very good job, that needed good qualifications and a high standard of education now works in sada, she got fed up of her job being more about target meeting and form filling than the actual people.
She works on the tills and couldn't be happier, she gets regular shift patterns and says there's no stress at all if you can cope with the constant beeping of the tills.
Life is all about balance as long as you make enough to pay the bills does it really matter what job you do as long as you are happy.
I've even thought about it myself, stacking shelves with no one to answer to apart from the odd falling tin, finishing at an allocated time, no work related phone calls to answer at 9pm on an evening, no emails that need an urgent response when you are out with the family on a Sunday afternoon....0 -
Good afternoon everyone
Sorry I have not been able to catch up, Work took over this week with it being PAYE year ends, I loathe this time of year, I am not the payroll person but I have to do all her year ends, long story, anyhow all done and dusted for this year
Oh taking me for a meal and a drink tonight, yiphee, wooing he calls it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I would like to say a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE thank you to Fairclaire for organising the GN Sweepstake, Queen of cheap for adjudicating and David for covering when FC was not available and the Alphbetties for joining in. Sorry Ladyshopper I did offer to swap. Another huge thank you to Slivercar for bumping the donation page each day and a massive Thank You to all the Elite and Alphbetties for donating to two such worthy causes.
My sister is in awe of you all, finally got chance to speak with her today, we had gob smacked, amazed, to speechless to crying to laughter and now a promise she will try very hard to succeed and not let herself, the charity or the Elite down, such a great confidence booster, I am going in June to support her and I will let you all know how she got on.
And breath, back to work now, see you all tomorrow for a proper catch up0 -
Ignore my previous waffle about the Nescafe coffee sachets, it looks like this might be an offer for everyone, including instore.
Looks like the sachets have gone into a 2 for £4 offer this morning and the multis are not showing yet (meaning it should be good to go all day regardless..:D)
Safest bet is to buy flavours in twos A v S, pay £4, apg sees £5.96 v £3, returning an apg for £3.26, reducing the cost of each box to 37 pence.
Not tried or tested yet, but it looks like it is good to go for this afternoon..:D[STRIKE][/STRIKE]
Edit.. In the last 15 minutes msm has updated again to show £1.98 each so tread carefully. If they are 2 for £4 in your store then I reckon it will work nicely as they were £2.98 on msm until a few moments ago, if they are a straight £1.98 then you will probably just get a straight A v S comparison.0 -

Does he have an idea of what he'd like to do??
If he does then that will make it easier for him to know what levels etc to aim for, if he's no idea then that's more difficult... Also moc exams are just a practise... Some thing that will help him work out how much more work he needs to put in to reach his own personal targets.
Does he revise, started revising?
If not a timetable is great way of making sure he covers everything but not 24/7 he needs time off to digest the info etc and to chill, if he knows his subjects then the nervousness will subside... In the confidence gained from revising and remembering...

If not ignore my waffle:)0 -

I totally agree with the rest of your post. its the snp alienating the rest of the uk not the Scottish people. I was not voting tory this time but I feel I have to to keep labour out as they will be puppets to the snp.
and my vote will count as whoever wins Swindon always end up in government.
I feel I upset a few of my Scottish friends on here at times so will not comment again about this. but please note the snp are alienating me, and my whole family are Scottish. so it upsets me greatly to see this rift dividing our nation.
my brother even voted for independence.:(
Don't be so daft zippy
You don't have ANY Scottish friends on here

Agreed
Yes I think asda is not great analogy I know Managers who earn really good money who started as stock boys and worked their way up. Its all about the person. I also know people who work part time save and enjoy their spare time.
Folk shouldn't measured by success in job status or money in bank.
We all want our kids to do well but realistically as long as they are happy and healthy. The rest they will figure out. Trust me been through it.0
