    Morning all

Well they must be frightfully clever to circumvent the rules then :)

    https://www.gov.uk/government/news/eu-jobseekers-barred-from-claiming-universal-credit

The new regulations mean that under Universal Credit no EU households will be able to access means-tested benefits in the UK without having worked here first.
•all EU jobseekers need to live in the country for at least 3 months before they can claim income-based JSA, Child Benefit and Child Tax Credit
•after 3 months, jobseekers have to take a stronger, more robust Habitual Residence Test if they want to claim income-based JSA
•after 3 months on Jobseeker’s Allowance, they have a ‘genuine prospect of work’ test – if they do not have an imminent job offer they will lose their benefits and their right to reside in the UK as a jobseeker
•new migrant jobseekers from the EU are no longer able to claim Housing Benefit

Those queuing up at Calais to try and sneak into the UK are not EU migrants...EU citizens have free passage within the EU.

And yes of course you are entitled to your opinion...however in this instance your opinion that EU migrants come here in swathes to claim benefits rather than to work is contradicted by facts - shame that you cba to quote any in support of your claims ;)

I think you have more than got your point across and I think we should agree to differ.i am intitled to my op as you are to yours , so in the spirit of thread harmony, I think we should leave it there as we will not agree.i dont know where you live so I cant comment on your community, only on mine.i have no wish to upset anyone but can only comment about the stuff I have seen.i have stated that I have no qualms with overseas VISITORS...who come to work and I congratulate them as they are very hard workers and I wish them well, but I have seen personally the damage to the community that certain visitors have caused and still cause.
thats my last word on this subject and wish you all the best in your future crusades.

When this happened to me they would not believe they gave me the evouchers. Mentioned fraud a few times. I couldn't prove anything as was locked out of my account. An email to head office in the end and I was actually able to get the point across that I had done nothing wrong. Call centre was beyond frustrating. Hth

Just to add I hadn't done many orders.
    xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.
