Argos: 3 month old washer - Argos want £150 call out or an extended warranty

Just called Argos about a faulty washing machine we got from them 3 months ago and doesn't spin or drain. Argos customer service said "It's £150 callout charge or if you buy an extended warranty you won't be charged" Am totally mistaken that the 12 month warranty should cover this?

They do have the right to insist it's sent back and only when it's proved to be faulty do they need to pay costs.
