Appreciate your measured response, it helps greatly. I realise the footpath is there for pedestrians, I think our office parking needs to be called into question on this basis, really not a good place to park I would agree now. As I was already edged out to move off, the approaching vehicles chose to just bully by me. Regardless of my position, the lorry driver actually, never thought about stopping, he said at first he didn't see me, then he said actually, he thought I was reversing (probably to avoid the first car ), but maybe just maybe he should have waited, because he had the time, and he chose not to take the time, even though he knew I was there!
You need to look at your office parking along the lines of a house without a dropped kerb. What legal rights do you have to access it?0 -
You were moving from a minor road (in this case the pavement) to a high grade road. The vehicle in the lower grade road must give way to traffic on the higher grade road.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

The pavement covers both roads and they may have the same classification. So logic would say as the pavement is part of the road it has the same classification as the road.
I can see what you're trying to say but the way you have written it is wrong.0 -
I hesitated and tried to move back, as I thought if I continued we would collide, as that car passed, I was unaware that coming directly behind him was a skip lorry who also made the left turn into the road from the outer left lane. I began to continue to move off as my nose was on the road and the arc of both of our turns cause a collision between my driver side wing/nose and a big steel ladder part just behind the skip lorry cab.
His move bamboozled me and I didn't see the skip lorry coming straight behind him.Regardless of my position, the lorry driver actually, never thought about stopping, he said at first he didn't see me, then he said actually, he thought I was reversing (probably to avoid the first car )
Sorry sounds completely your fault.
Reads to me that you saw the car and tried to reverse out the way (hence the lorry drivers assumption), then having had a close shave with the car, which "bamboozled" you, you didn't recheck the road was clear before pulling out into the side of the skip lorry, probably still watching what the other car was doing.0 -

Sorry, I don't follow ?
In terms of the accident I guess I can't do much. We have done all the details exchange. I spoke with my insurer, they thought I was probably liable given, what I had said. I had still some doubt as to what actually had happened, due to how the first car had cut across me, I guess I feel a bit agreived about how quickly things happened, and that I was not quick thinking enough to avoid the accident.
The skip lorry didn't incur any damage, so I guess I can hope they choose not to claim against me. I was thinking of explaining what happened and providing CCTV to try and help my case for recovering cost, I had engaged a claim management service, but I think I will not proceed with anything on my part as it may prove fruitless and just plain stressful.. Its my wife's car, its 8 year old, worth about 1,000 quid, would cost more to fix, so I guess this is the end of the matter ?0 -

Who do you intend to recover your cost from, if liability rests with you?
From what you have said so far there aren't any costs to recover.0 -

Yip, if liability is found with me, which you all seem to think is the case then there are no costs to recover, so its all over, nothing to be said. I just wanted to get some opinions, which you all have kindly given me. Any attempt by to dispute liability and or even get split liability sounds pointless.0
