None of the codes work for me, but Tesco's will find they're not the only one clamping down on spending! I have in my inbox 2 emails, 1 from Asda, 1 from Ocado, the former offering me free delivery, the latter £10 off. Which one shall I choose? At the moment, probably neither, but shall choose to save my money if I have to pay for delivery costs on top of food prices that have risen by as much as 50% in some cases over the last 6 months (eg butter 80p to about £1.20).
Tesco's are obviously worried after their worse-than-expected Christmas trading figures, but if they think withdrawing all codes is the way to go about it I think they may find they have just cut off their nose to spite their face. I WAS going to do a largish shop with them - the delivery cost was a drop in the ocean to them. I'm now not going to, and will continue not to do so as long as I have to pay such large delivery charges! (about £6 compared to zero at Asda or £10 off at Ocado).
I think customers voting with their feet may well hurt their future profits a whole lot harder... Oh well, some people have to learn the hard way.....:rolleyes:0 -
So frustrating that there is no codes. If I place this order then this will be the first one I have done where I have had to pay delivery and to be honest I only use Tesco because of the discount codes.
I refuse to pay £6.25 delivery though and I think I will just go to the supermarket tomorrow NOT TESCO'S probably Sainsburys.
Tesco's are only going to lose out more by stopping people using the codes - I was just about to spend £95 there excluding the £5 off - now that will be spent elsewhere.0 -
Well I've been using Asda with free delivery codes. If & when they run out I may get a asda credit card, gives you free delivery on orders over £99.Next year we'll be millionaires!0

Is it really the end then? Is it Tesco vouchers RIP?
That is really sad, I have an order all put up in my basket but I just can't bring myself to pay the delivery charge. After such a long time, it just really sticks in my throat.
Sadly Asda don't deliver where I live.
Come on Tesco, put some codes out!Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0
