I just used tescos.com for the first time since Christmas and when I checked out it didn't ask me to give the password for the bank security verification they had on before. It used to come up just after entering card details and if you couldn't remember the password it wouldn't go through. Has anyone else noticed this? has it been removed?
    Thanx

  • Hi there, I'm new to this but have used this website for a short while now for Tesco clubcard codes, And have found it a brilliant site.

I have been collecting points for a while now (5 years+) and have had no problems until I was overcharged £25 on a box of Portuguese rose wine, (originally charged £40! instead on the £15 stated online.
Rightly so I was a bit miffed at this, So I rang customer service.....Very bad idea,.
Not only were they the rudest customer service agents I have ever encountered ( And I have read that over & over again on MANY forums), They discovered my other 3 accounts..oops.
Stupid on my part it may have been (it was £25?!) But I have a very distinct feeling that they did this on purpose in some form in the bid to get me ME to call them instead of them contacting me (About my multiple accounts) and looking like they were being aggressive or them even breaking some sort of personal information law?? (Anybody know?)

Now I'm seeing other obvious mistake from them around the forums. This is amongst others I have noticed:

Im not a conspiracy theorist, But do all these people who get mistyped codes multiple account holders? I wonder...... I lost 6450 points when I rang to get my £25 back. They closed down 3 of my 4 accounts with immediate effect. I'll be more careful in future either now!

Hate to ask but what is the difference if you have 1 card or 5 surely you can only use 1 card when you shop and all your points go on that so what is the advantage to having 5 accounts as you cant use all 5 cards at the same time am confused would somebody mind explaining please how it works

Quite often the big codes (like 1,000 points on a £50 shop, of which there have been none for a while) will only work once on an account. If you have multiple accounts you can use the codes on each one. Also some codes have other conditions, there was one recently that was only for a first time online shop, so then people open more accounts each one having a 'first' shop. Also, you get a mailing for each account, so you get more of the bonus points vouchers that come with the mailings.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.
  • If you're collecting points for Airmiles, do look out for any Airmiles special offers. Last year they did a two for one deal on tickets, which of course makes your points and miles go that much further. ;)

Thanks for that I will keep my eyes peeled!

Just opened a Lloyds TSB credit card and got 1500 free airmiles :) Thanks to Martin for that one!!!:money:
  • Thanks for that pboae;)
  • I've just done my first online Tesco grocery order and used the £5 off £50 spend eVoucher (thanks MSE'rs for that one) but I've just realised that once all my BOGOF and 2 for £2 etc have been taken off my original order will be substantially less than £50. Will I still get the £5 off if this is the case?

    Hope that makes sense

    Cheers
