went into woolie as I always do to look for a pressie for my firends daughter-i picked up some maltersers and some sweets in pack- browsed around the shop to look for something nice to go with them but couldn't find anything so left the sweets and choccies at the back on a reduce aisle where i was looking at toys and decided to come back tomorrow after having a think.I had just walked out of the store when a man ran after me calling can you stop i turned around and he said you had chocoloates in your hand which you didn't pay for you have stolen them-lots of passers by started to stare.I was so shocked i didn't know what to do so i walked back towards him and said are you accusing me off being a thief i put them back becaus ei changed my mind-he said show me i said i will. When i went into the shop he grabbed my river island carrir bag and chcked inside then handed it back to me without an apology-i wanted to cry as everyone was stood around me all i managed to say was you can't treat me like this i am a regular customer but he said he could so i said i would never shop there again and he said don't.i ran out of the shop crying and now i decided to call the store to speak to the manager but the lady on the phone said by his description it was the manager who did this to me.sorry for bad spelling my hands are shaking
p.s i shop there every week as i get my lottery done there aswell as bits for my niece and I was actually thinking of taking her in tomorrow to buy a summer chair on my way out before it all happened. Now my brother is so angry he wants me to go back to the store with him to show him the person so he can punch him
Oh Sonee, I really feel for you. What kind of store manager treat's his customers like that? a nasty horrible one I say! I would call CS first thing if I was you. I'd also write to their head office. Don't let him get away with it. It sounds like he does this kind of thing all the time. The guy needs to be repremanded. I've had a couple of bad experience's in boots, but nothing as awful as you described. Good luck Sonee. Let us know how you get on. Will be thinking of you.0 -
Well chuffed today. I have been collecting Boots points to buy my son some Lacoste aftershave. I was in a differenet Boots in Glasgow today and noticed that if you buy Lacoste fragrances you get either a body spray or body lotion from the same range free. Got the fragrance at £24 and a £16 spray free. Also got a load of these fridge magnetic frames at an earlier visit to Boots Braehead.0

ineichen - Liverpool and Chester are OK, some stuff 75% off. Liverpool probably a bit better than Chester. Birkenhead was good as well at the start of the sale.0

Bit annoyed at the sales in Boots and how they are all different in various stores!
I bought a 100ml DKNY aftershave in C Garden for sale price of 17.50 then noticed the next day about the free deodorant/ body lotion offer.
So knowing that C Garden didnt have anymore DKNY stock, I toddled off to Boots to ask for my free body lotion/ Deodorant. Sales assistant said that my aftershave didnt qualify as "fragrance" and that because I bought it in the sale in the C Garden store, I would have to go back there for my free deodorant/ body lotion (I KNOW FULL WELL THEY DONT STOCK ANYMORE!)
So basically, I was told to go away as they wouldnt give me my free DKNY body lotion deodorant.
CS said that this offer only on On-Line. Lie.
Grr xLovin Boots and other bargainous places!0 -
OMG so excited - just looked at Pigsback to find I'd won a "daily/weekly spotlight quiz".....and 2,000 piggypoints!!!!! Guess where they'll be spent! :j
Bad news - two stores refused to reduce any red sticker prices yesterday, but bought a ROC facial peel kit reduced to £9.97 with my last £5 ROC voucher........only to find when I went to open it at home that it's ONE YEAR OUT OF DATE!!
That'll be me onto CS this morning -0 -
Just caught up on the thread.....
SONEE - how awful for you, I feel nervous and embarrassed every time the Boots security guard blatantly follows me around and watches closely what I'm looking at so god knows how horrible that experience was for you. Do as saintscouple says!! Hugs x
CERENIA - I'm up for it - will juggle my working week to fit in with everyone else, and get an appointment at the jewellers to get my ring resized too.....shame I can't spend Boots points in Tiffanys!!:D
EDIT: I've got a pile of vouchers valid to 28th Aug from those stop smoking packs if anyone wants them - they're for Time Delay, Botanics Pulse Point and Bach Rescue Remedy etc - PM me and I'll post them to you.0 -

The store won't - but I just called CS about my out of date ROC peel and they gave me some pts and told me to take the item back for a full refund - and apologised profusely.0
