I bought a digital camera whilst in Scotland. Again the SA told me there was no further discount. Good luck.

I think its the same with the other sale items, if they have a red sticker on them then they are half price if it is the written clearance sticker they are the displayed price. You could ask the SA to be sure as they should know ;)

None of the cameras were marked as reduced at all, they were locked in a little glass cabinet, didn't have the list with me so I couldn't be sure if they were the ones in clearance -but I would bet money that they haven't been price checked for a v.long time. I wondered whether they'd gone down again, the xboxes went to £40 then £10 just wondered if the cameras had done the same.

I made the mistake of trying on some perfume at the airport. Although I didn't like the smell at first, by the time I was on the plane home I loved it. Angel by Thierrry Mugler and it's expensive. However, I've got nearly £36 of points on my Boots card but can anyone tell me how I can quickly add another £10 worth, so I can get some with my points? I'm not even sure how many points that would be!

There must be a cost effective way of doing this ... ?

This is reduced in the Edinburgh stores if you are nearby.

Depends on how you look at it. Sun tan lotion has a shelf life of 2 years max - less once it's been opened and exposed to the 'environment'... You might think you are buying bargin factor 30, but can you guarentee it's even SPF 8? No....

Boots should be ashamed of trying to shift old sun tan lotion stock. Anyone would think they wanted people to get skin cancer...

Sorry, but given that it is still only the beginning of August, and some people still haven't been on their main summer holiday, surely buying suncream at vastly reduced prices cannot be a bad thing.
If you buy something on a clearance shelf, you know it is probably 'old stock', or at least this years stock which they are wanting to clear the shelves of, ready for the christmas lines.
Personally I wouldn't buy 'perishable' items intending to put them away for a couple of years anyway. Earlier THIS year I bought some of the little soltan packs which were on a clearance shelf ( and went thru on BOGOF:D ) and they have been fantastic. Brilliant to pop in handbags, glove compartment of the car, and even the kids school bags. No excuse for forgetting to pack the suncream, or being taken unawares by a sudden heatwave.
I and the kids are all very fair skinned, and so far we haven't 'suffered' anything more than a few freckles.
I cannot see that buying suncream from the clearance shelf to use this year is any worse than stocking up at easter when Boots first start their 'summer' sales campaign, and sitting in my cupboard for 5 months.

    p.s
I would NEVER buy anything less than a factor 20, and that is just for the uk. If I ever go abroad I buy the factor 40's and 50's. Any 'colour' I have is due to the fake tans I buy - from the clearance shelf ;)

p.p.s I would feel safer using boots suncream purchased from the clearance shelf, than buy abroad from the shops who may have had their cream on display for goodness knows how long, and most of the time outside in direct sunlight/heat.

Out of interest, given your comment about 2 years life, can you tell me if ANY suncream actually has a Sell by/Use by date ?
Just checking all the creams I bought THIS year - on clearance, and from main shelves, and I cannot see any dates/codes. How do the stores know if the product is approaching its sell by date, let alone us know when to use it by:confused: - thanks

Oooh Nooooooo! How frustrating. I might phone around and see if any of my local stores have it on offer. I'm a long way from Edinburgh.

When I checked the shelf yesterday before 5pm it wasn't there  so maybe it was just mean to be. :T
