Is it realistic to take a Pushchair and Car seat back to a store when purchased on .com?? I brought them in the 50% sale and when they arrived noticed they were slightly on the girly side (pink stitching!). Found out i'm having a boy now so don't think it will be really fair on him to spend his first months in a girly pram!!!

Just a quickie to say Blackpool Boots have some Benefit lip palettes - 3 colours - in the red sticker sale stuff, marked at £10. Also put out loads of makeup & nail polish in the clearance section. It's all on the top floor, along with baby stuff.
And I was given one of the survey vouchers...apparently not many people get them, according to the SA.
I got one of those in the Blackpool branch at the weekend. Sadly, it was on my third SA, on their third attempt to put things right for me. None of the sale stuff was going through correctly....was all going through higher than the red stickered price, and when i asked the 1st SA to correct it...she walked off and got someone else. 2nd SA said that the red sticker price was how much it was....i pointed out the "half marked sticker price" signs and she grunted and said "well, as these items don't have the original price on them then i suppose i will honour it this time. She put them through at the red sticker price despite saying this! Then the 3rd SA sorted it out for me and I actually ended up paying 50p less than i should have! excellent!
Needless to say though, the SA was a little upset that the survey had printed out for me...not going to be a good one i'm afraid!!0 -
I just phoned CS to check about the half marked sticker price promotion because if thats the case I was overcharged on tuesday. The original price was £15 and I was charged the sticker price of £7.50..... The lovely man at Boots started off saying he'll refund the £7.50 in points (I never mentioned figures, he assumed I'd been charged £15!) and then after some small talk about children he then said he'll add 1500 points for the trouble caused. I'm not sure now if I'm getting 750+1500 or just 1500 but either way I got a result :TWins since September 2011: Wedding (Worth £3500) :j Bridesmaids Headpiece (Worth £40) National Wedding Show VIP tickets (Worth £70) £100 Shopping vouchers...0

The sale on .com is terrible, everything is out of stock...
I went to London - New Oxford Street, Oxford Street and Bond Street yesterday.
Only Oxf Street had the indication of 1/2 price on top of the sale price. I ended up buying lots of toiletries, especially FCUK body mists and cool down spray since finally (yes, back in the beginning of the sale I bought 1 to try for 0.75£ but never came across them at that price again) they were marked 1.50£, with 50% discount, plus the "buy1, get 1 half price" kicks in, and you end you paying 0.75 for the first one and only .37£ for the 2nd one.
Other than, I got a trevor sorbie colour shampoo for £1.50, botanics shampoo for £1, a charles worthington 5 small colour shampoos and conditioners (gift set) for £2.50, a morgan 50ml perfume for £2.25, some UK--> europe plugs for £1. The perfumes on sale were only body lotions!! Some of the stuff on sale was in terrible shape, for example the small body lotions from fcuk were half empty... I also got something called Vivatap (18 sachets to improve the taste of tap water) for £0.25.
One thing I did notice was that the SAs need to input the prices by hand and then scan the sale sticker. With the confusion I ended up paying twice for one elvive dadruff treatment, but I had the bag full of small stuff that I did not think £1 was worth the bother, especially after the SA commented that I was taking advantage of them (Yes, I paid Boots £15 for leftover stock ... and that is the definition of "to take advantage of Boots")... I wish going to Boots for a bargain did not involve this type of service.
Bond Street had even worse stock, really dirty and with spillovers... and no sign of the 50% on top of the clearance price. New Oxford Street almost did not have any stock, no mention of the half price offer neither. I tried taking a roc set to the till to see if the price was further reduced with no luck (it was £16 originally).0 -

Anyone found any bargains in Newcastle upon Tyne particularly the Metro Centre? Im headed there this weekend lol how sad am I wanting to know about Boots~!!!
Deb
No idea about the Metrocentre, but Eldon Square boots in Newcastle's ok. Not great, but getting better - I managed to get some bargains today. Most of the sale stuff's downstairs in what's normally the baby and photo dept. It's all dotted around downstairs though, so you've really got to hunt.
Sort of depends what you want - there's loads of gift sets - botanics, FCUK, etc etc, all not bad prices.
My bargain of the day was one of those gift sets that contain charlie blue perfume and body spray - retail at about £7.00 per set at christmas! My mam loves charlie blue, but they've stopped making it, can't get it anywhere, so when I saw these gift sets I picked up 4. They were clearance, not red sticker, so I expected to pay the sticker price of £1.75 each. Poor SA had a hell of a time trying to get them to go through, cos it kept saying wrong prices, even though she was inputting the price manually! At first it said £1.36 each - bargain I thought, then she cancelled it all, called someone else over, they put it through between them and the total came to £3.36! Maths isn't my strong point but I thought it should have been £7.00?? Thought she was going to get a manager or something, but fortunately the other SA she'd called over said it was a bargain and they should go and get some for themselves! I just laughed along, paid and ran for it before they changed their minds!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :T
Oh, and I got the Clinique bonus as well. I never buy expensive stuff, I'm scared of the ladies on the Clinique and other counters! only bought the trial pack of Clinique anti-blemish skincare about 3 weeks ago cos my skin's horrible, and it's done wonders for my skin, so went to get full-size cleanser, toner and moisturiser. Got the bonus plus extras, and they're all lovely - sneaking suspicion this could be the start of a new obsession for me with expensive makeup and skincare!:rolleyes:OS weight loss challenge: 4.5/6 lbs0 -
i just called boots.com about the filthy perfume gift sets i recieved and they were absolutely wonderful about it-they were apolegetic and promised to send me some repalcements as soon as possible. They also said i was free to return the products in a jiffy bag if i wanted too or i could take them instore and get a refund.I thanked the adviser for his help and then he inforemed me of a substantial amount of points they have added to my card as a goodwill gesture-lets just say it was way more than what i paid for the perfumes , i wasn't expecting points i just wanted my replacements sent out so i was lost for words& because of that i decided not to compain about my missing orange credit as i would have felt very greedy.Love can tame the wildest0

Yep, this is the only store I know of that has an extra 1/2 price off the 1/2 price sale stock. I asked the SA why this was as other stores are not reducing their stock further and he said it's because they have so much old stock to shift, that they want to get rid of it as quick as possible.0 -

First class isn't recognised by royal mail as missing until 15 working days from posting.
Still no sign of my giftcardcalled CS and the guy said he'd send another one out to me - registered this time. Wish he'd done that in the first place, *sigh* I was hoping to spend it in the sale, but now I think I will wait for the new skincare voucher and hopefully get a chance to use up some of the 3.00 time delay quit vouchers that I have a lot of
