Sportsdirect customer service

When typing in an order for some shoes through Sportsdirect, I noticed their site attempted to change the delivery and invoice address to a completely different one, albeit with the same surname as mine.
I retyped the correct one out and pressed order. That Saturday evening I noticed the confirmation address had been changed back again to the wrong one again, which is nothing like mine and 50 miles away.
I sent them an Email describing the full details of the problem and correct address, because their 08 phone line was not available on the Saturday evening. I tend to be reluctant on principle at spending long times waiting on the phone and paying for others mistakes anyway, so I left it at that.
Of course the email was not acted on in time and the items were sent to the wrong address on the Monday according to the courier messages. By the Wednesday there was still no reply, so I sent them a Twitter message. They apologised gave me another email address, which they answered. 'The items have been sent to [this address] and signed for' [finish of message]. I replied YES I KNOW THAT when are you going to send it to the correct address?
Perhaps the only way is to get on the phone, pay for the call and argue with this company. Whether they would accept their system is faulty, and the same thing will happen again who knows?
Edit I've just received this

Your order is showing as it has been delivered to the correct address.
As the order was delivered correctly the only way to resolve this would be to collect the item from the address the parcel was delivered to

Raise a chargeback claim?
Does your order confirmation email (first one) have the correct address?
"Sportsdirect" and "Customer Service" are words rarely found in the same sentence, unless that sentence also includes the words "is utter rubbish".0 -

Unfortunately not. The system must have changed it back AFTER I pressed 'buy'.
However, my Email describing the problem was sent out 2 days prior to them sending the package out. Of course they require up to 5 days to read it!
Note the address is nothing like the correct one, so there is something strange going on with the form.
It was purchased on a Credit card0 -
Why pay for the call? Use Saynoto0870 and find an alternative to the NGN.0
-
SayNo shows the following unverified listing for SD (amongst others):
0870 333 9400 (usual number)
0845 129 9200 (alternative)
0344 245 9230 (non-geo number)
Other Information: I phoned this to double check. I spoke to someone and they confirmed they are the CS department.0 -
I would not shop as Sports Direct, as around 75% of their workforce are on zero hour contracts. That's 15,000 people with no guaranteed working hours or income. As a society we should not treat working people in this way.

Well I did call them eventually, and they just repeated the message the sent me by Email, so it wouldn't have made any difference.
'The items have been sent to [this address] and signed for'
end of story tough.
Suppose I could have called them early Monday in addition to the Email, if I could have got though. Other than that there is nothing that could have been done, totally beyond my control. I thought of calling the courier, but assumed sports direct would eventually recognise the problem, fix their software and resend it.
I agree this company is a shambles. Never heard anything like it!0 -
Are you sure their website changed it and not your browsers auto complete settings? Is the address one in which you have had any connection.0

There is no connection other than the surname which is identical. Also the names of the road, town and postcode are very different to my own. I retyped it back to the correct address anyway, but somehow it was changed again.
My auto-complete settings always inserts my correct address never a false one, in this case it didn't appear to be operational so I had to type it manually. There is no way such an obscure address could have got there. I'll recheck for a virus, but run one every night.0 -
Have you ordered things from SD before? If yes, have they correctly come to your current address?
(Previous account history would support your claim).0
