Lenders do see the original information that the 5/5 score was based on alThough they are of course entitled to draw their own conclusions and target certain customers.

So I think it's wrong to dismiss it although it's almost certainly not worth paying for.
I like to track mine for free because it might draw my attention to an issue and possible error without wading through the entire report.

It's wrong to scaremonger and say it means nothing.
The CRAs have many decades of experience or working with lenders.
No I do not work for them, just adding some balance to the incorrect statement that it meAns nothing. It's from an experienced organisation.

Sorry but I Disagree on your incorrect statement. You can 900 + or 4+/5 on your credit score but if you have had a default less than 6 years ago and late payments, you are not going to find a mortgage easy to find.

Scores are there to get people to buy their credit file extras that they want to make money off you.

Mortgage lenders at least, look at our history. Your score means literally nothing and has no bearing on application, it is a number generated by each CRA and each have their own scoring and are not universal. That alone should give an indication of their purpose, zip.

The mortgage subsection has countless threads supporting this.

Even MSE officially support this stance:

  • Hi everyone,

I am trying to help my brother out with taking the nephews (x4) out to the cinema. I have given him my meerkat movie code but would be very grateful if any one else has one that they aren't using.

I got mine through buying car insurance but didn't buy it from them just for the cinema codes so haven't even bothered with it but now I see what a waste it is if I don't pass on these codes which I aim to do from now on as this is what the aim of this forum is, to help others save money.

    Thank you
  • Hi, has anyone got a spare Meerkat Movies Code for today? Sorry to ask, but could someone PM me one? Mine recently expired and the next one hasn't come through yet. Thanks in advance.
  • Bought a single trip insurance policy for UK for £2.02 (top dog insurance) and the meerkat movies activated within about 24 hours.

Went to watch Star Wars last night.

    What a brilliant deal :)
  • Has anyone got a code they arnt using?!? I need another for mom and dad!....ive just signed her up to it but they are saying 48 hours to be verified (i know i know.....some people say it happened sooner tho!)

I did ERV £2.67 1 day travel insurance in the UK for 30th-31st....My mom is over 60 so i think this is the cheapest for those older ;-)

If anyone has a code i would love you x
  • On the scrounge - Does anyone have a free code I could use today.

    Thanks Amy
  • Just adding - still working great, I went for the £2.02 tog dog travel insurance one, code appeared instantly, code worked. I think it's brilliant, can't complain about £4 cinema tickets. I wonder if they will add a minimum spend to it, I hope not.

I'm surprised they didn't add a min spend in the first place.
  • Tried it last night.
Purchased £2.04 travel insurance and account activated immediately.
Mobile app didn't seem to want to login in initially but tried retrieving voucher from the website and worked straight away and then was also able to logon to mobile app.
Shame BFI IMAX not part of the scheme.
