I find it strange that the DD mandate has to be filled out on paper.

When did this offer start? Has anyone received their bonus yet?

Yes, see the earlier post by VeryIntrigued. I, too, received the £25 bonus on April 29th (having made the first purchase with the credit card on April 20th - 9 days earlier). But my partner, having made her first purchase with her card on May 1st is still waiting for her bonus (16 days later). Perhaps FirstDirect pay the bonuses towards the end of every month? We'll see.....
  • I purchased something on 4th May and have yet to receive my bonus. boo.

There's free money, and there's Fee Free free money.

Tesco is doing a No Fee Balance Transfer, for 18 months

I actually cancelled my First Direct credit card over a year ago, specifically intending to re-apply when there's a good deal, which this is, but how can you compete with NO FEE?

I have some balance maturing in November 2015, hopefully the FD deal will appear again then.

Further to my post #23, my partner received her £25 bonus in her FirstDirect account yesterday (20th) which makes it 19 days since her first purchase on that credit card.

Apparently unless you are going to Balance Transfer only the Gold Card option will give you the £25 reward with a purchase

Can anyone verify if this is the case? I am hoping not as I've got the standard card and hoping to get the incentive with a purchase, not bal transfer.

I can verify that's NOT the case as I received the free £25 following a £1 purchase using the standard FD CC (no BT).

  • I applied before the 10th & made my purchase on Sunday (98p :) )

    Looking forward to my £25
