FirstDirect 25 pounds CC incentive.

Did First Direct say why it was rejected? I have been with First Direct for over 15 years now. The good thing I like about FD you can speak with their Lending Dept/underwriters directly and they will tell you reasons for the declined.
It may be because it is a new account but I am sure you will be able to appeal against the decision with previous bank statements.
The reason stated was can't offer you at this time. I've now switched FD to Nationwide for £80 cashback! and the amount I was going to drip feed to their RS will now go straight into Nationwide earning 5% interest for 12 months0 -
Well I was accepted for a card and just got my first statement. Online it appears that I'm in arrears (- fig, which isn't possible given the little I spent on it) and the paper statement just shows what I've spent.
So, if you keep spreadsheets showing your CC positions you will have to work it out manually :-)0 -
Purchase made a week ago on this new card, money transferred to pay this purchase off the next day and a week later a text from FD that the £25 was in my account.
Fantastic service.0 -
I've just got the card in the post but no pin yet.0

Apparently unless you are going to Balance Transfer only the Gold Card option will give you the £25 reward with a purchase0

Opened the Gold Card last week, and have made a purchase. Just waiting for the £25 now.
It's a shame you cannot view PDF statements with First Direct.0 -
Applied in time - but this £25 offer has as expected ended today.0

Do we need to spend on it by today?0

I've ended up buying an amazon gift card for myself with my Gold card today, just in case

Do we need to spend on it by today?
No - just to have applied for it.

"To be eligible for First Direct’s £25 offer, you must have a 1st Account and apply for your credit card before 10th May 2015.
You can’t currently hold a First Direct credit card or have had one within the past six months.
The card must be opened and a purchase or balance transfer made within three months of the account opening. The purchase can be of any value but the balance transfer must be £100 or more.
The cash is then paid within 45 days of criteria being met."0
