This is a more common problem than you think, and police are very used to getting call outs like this, unfortunately it is not illegal for a girl to stand on a street corner, even if they know what she is up to, they need to prove it. which can be hard when as soon as a blue & white turns up, all you see is a girl standing on the street corner and all cars disappear. All they can do is do more patrols in that area and deter people. It's more down to who gets fed up first. The customers don't want caught, the girls get lower income, so they tend to !!!!!! off somewhere else and start again. Probably how they ended up on your corner.

OP needs to view the evidence discretely and when he is SURE that a car has picked up a tart,,and using a newly set up anon twitter account..tweet the number plate and state it was seen in are known for prostitutes with hashtag area name

On a none serious side note, at least they are only hanging around on the corner for 15 minutes, if you had an ugly prostitute working your corner then she could be hanging around for hours!

If you let the Police know they will deal with it. They won't be interested in names, number plates etc. They need to see what is going on themselves and if sending a marked car round occasionally doesn't move them then they will be sending plain clothes officers round in unmarked cars to get the evidence to prosecute.

Yes they will - For example if the Reporter can confirm seeing the same car picking up girls repeatedly the police will be very interested, this can be held on the Police Intelligence System. Prostitutes are murdered and disappear in most major cities, Steve Wright - Suffolk... Police can also work in plain clothes and arrest females for soliciting and males for kerb crawling. Organisations to help the females find ways out of prostitution also exist in most big cities. You don't have to supply your details or have the police come to your door but the more and better information you supply, the better the Police will be able to deal with the problem.
