Well it seems it was 2 hours spent trying to get this deal for nothing. BT sent a text message to my landline last night (Not exactly a good method of communications for a phone company) informing me there was an issue with my application (despite the chat agent confirming the order was complete) and that they have cancelled the order.

I phoned back today to see what the status was and they tried to get me to sign up for the same deal, minus the MasterCard and Boots voucher of course. (so £140 more expensive)

I asked why the order did not go through and they said they didn't know but it was a fault from their side. Now I need to check my credit card to make sure they didn't take the £261 up front cost.

After every transaction with BT I am left disappointed. so much so I can't be bothered to type my feedback out every time so I have saved the following text... maybe someone here will find it useful:

"I have never had a good or simple experience with BT. It's always tedious difficult and wholly unpleasant. today was no different. The only thing you have in your favour is my expectations are so low they are occasionally met."

I'm off to the MSE main page to find a different provider... Good luck to the rest of you!
  • I duly signed up by clicking throigj from tnis site before the deadlinof 12 mn thursday.
Got the Mastercard with £100 and £75 cashback. (nearly all used up with one off charges)
Got my welcome email an reference number.

Then it stopped dead. Rang the helplines and it has gone to CONTINGENCY.
I had to give it a while then ring again..
Reassured my deal would be honoured.

    Rang again. Told no deal.
Forget it. I need to start again when modem is installed.
    No deals.

Where do I go from here. I still have my E Mail with ref number and no deals.
    Cheers Andy

I signed up for the £75 cashback plus £100 Mastercard on 25th February. I duly bookmarked the site as advised to keep a copy of the deal but stupidly forgot to take a screen print. Of course, when I now go back to the bookmark it has updated to reflect the current, poorer, offer. Can anyone advise how I can get confirmation of the sign up deal please.
Given the hassle I had in getting the service, I think I'll probably need all the help I can get to secure my rewards!

Ditto! So annoyed! Screen shotted the MSE deal (below if you need it), but not the sign up page.

I contacted BT directly to ask them why the advertised card wasn't available to claim. They replied with:
I’ve double checked your claim and I can confirm that the correct value gift card is £75 BT Reward Card for the offer running when your order - AJMEAA0ZZ03002732293 was placed on 26/02/2016.Please claim the same online so that we can send it across.
I've replied to say that their response is not helpful. I didn't place my order on the 26th March, it was placed on the 25th March (I have the email confirmation to prove this), when the offer posted by MSE was still active. Will post when I get a response.

Not feeling optimistic I will ever see the promised cheque at this point, which means that basically the whole exercise to save money will have been a waste of time.

Thanks for posting the screenshot. I actually found the MSE email detailing the offer after I searched the Forum, so at least I have some evidence.
When I went on to the BT site to try and claim my reward, I was surprised to see a message that I wasn't entitled to anything! I contacted Customer Services who sent me an email link to escalate the issue.
I've had an acknowledgement and a reference number so at least my whinge has arrived at BT but I haven't a clue how to track progress (assuming you can?).
Just have to wait a while I guess...

I too signed up to BT Infinity 1 with weekend calls. My order date was 26th Feb 2016. I think it was meant to be £75 Mastercard and £75 cashback. BT have confirmed the £75 Mastercard but said i need to contact MSE for the cashback.

Is this correct? i also cant find the MSE post with the offer that i signed up via. All i can find is the £100 mastercard deal which expired midnight of the 25th feb.

    Any help?
  • Hi, I've just signed up for the latest BT offer via Uswitch, MasterCard voucher and next voucher, however I signed up for 1 year line saver rental and its not asked for any payment??

Will it be on my next bill? I normally put my card details in when I've paid for this before.
  • To all those BT customers who signed up with BT for a sainburys gift card and £75 cashback in November / December 2015 - I received my £75 yesterday. I signed up in November and installation was on 2 December 2015 so the cashback took over 4 months. If you are still waiting dont give up hope. I dont know if it made any difference or not, but I used the BT online complaints system to keep plugging away at them; eventually last week I asked for a 'deadlock' letter so I could refer the issue to the ombudsman. Anyway, for whatever reason, the cheque arrived yesterday. Good luck!
  • Hello everyone. I signed up for the BT Infinity deal on 25th February 2016, the £100 Mastercard and £75 cashback check. The Mastercard is on its way I am assured, but I am wondering what the best way to approach chasing the cheque cashback is. My activation date was 15th March, so it's been over 1 month but I have read this thread and see some people wait 4 months for this.

Do I need to chase up BT for this or should I wait it out for a while yet? Has anyone else from this deal timeframe received their check yet? Any advice is appreciated, thanks folks.
